That would actually be a great move for Ibišević because Wenger would give him the respect he deserves. I'd prefer to have him at Arsenal over Adebayor in the long run.
Vedad Ibisevic scored again on Saturday in the 5th min he is just destroying the league right now. 17 goals in 15 matches and 7 assist. (For a striker that's very impressive) Here is his latest goal: http://videos.sapo.pt/zZkdAHiguvlyzhe9zIZw
Yeah and he reported the he will stay with Hoffenheim through his contract which runs out at 2010 then he said only God knows what will happen after that.
I'm sorry, but money talks for everyone. It all depends on what price is going to get him to move. It may take more then any club is willing to offer. In any case, I hope that he stays put. Especially if Hoffenheim continue to improve from where they are right now.
Yeah but you have to understand the Hoffenheim owner is a Billionaire or at least close to it. So if he sold Vedad lets say for 10Million pounds that is what Manchester United is offering that wouldn't phase me much at all. I would rather keep Vedad and get glory then money I don't need. You know what I mean?
I agree with that, but if clubs want him enough they will pay up more then £10m. Ibišević is worth more then that at this point anyway because in reality he's only 24, averages more goals then matches played in the regular season and is a calm and collected person on and off the pitch. I read a brief interview with Hoffenheim's manager Ralf Rangnick recently in World Soccer Magazine and he stated that the reason for the striker's amazing form is a change in mentality on the pitch. He told him to save his strength and let the ball come to him and relax. To not get stressed out and let goals come when the opportunity is just right. Obviously that comes frequently! If anything, Ibišević could likely go to Russia because they have the majority of the richest owners in the sport. I wouldn't mind this move as I throughly enjoy Russian Premier League football and matches should be aired in North America by late 2009 thanks to their television rights deal with Fox Soccer Channel that is currently in the works.
I highly doubt Vedad would want to go to the Russian league, for couple reasons he has stated that he is happy in the Bundesliga but if he would go anywhere else it would be England, Spain and Italia.
