Ive been following this for a few hours now and its finally complete<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The Detroit Pistons traded forward Darko Milicic and point guard Carlos Arroyo to the Orlando Magic for Kelvin Cato and a 2007 first round pick, ESPN.com has learned Wednesday. The little-used Milicic appeared in 25 games for the Pistons last season, averaging 1.5 points per game in 5.6 minutes.</div>http://proxy.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2332021
maybe darko will finally get some playing time...but i like this trade by the pistons...get a good backup C in return and a more than likely lottery pick
i wouldnt count on a lottery pick, its not for THIS year, its next year's....the Magic now have 2 20 year olds on their front line and can build for the Future, i just hope Stevie gets out of this horrible organization sooner rather than later and goes to NY where him and Marbury can break down other teams defenses......Cato hasnt played much this year hes been hurt all year, but hes still one of my fav players just behind Stevie, and Mobley and I wish him all the luck in the world in Detroit he has the tough mentality that will fit right in there
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>About time. But will he improve with howard there?</div> He didn't improve with Ben or Rasheed Wallace, I don't see how Howard makes a difference.

How was that a good trade? They lose a top 10 pick for a complete bust who cannot play and a third string PG? How the hell is that a good trade? But asking you to know anything is asking a bit much.
This was a good trade for the Magic. From what I hear, Cato will be bought out and will resign with the Magic. Magic will now have a very good backup PG, a kid who is younger than JJ, LeBron, Melo, and Wade who has lots of potential, and they do not lose a solid backup center. This also allows them to ship out Francis for a person who plays either PG/SG/SF, as they now have a good PG to take his place. It was also good for Pistons, as they get rid of a player who they never played and who just took up space, they got rid of a good PG which I think will hurt them a lot down the road in the playoffs, and they will get a good draft pick.
I hope he does well, I was always interested in him and want to see him play more, I mean he was taken over D-Wade and Melo so he's got to have some talent, Detroit clearly wasn't the right place for him. I hope he can fit in with Orlando.
Detroit couldn't go wrong here, Darko was never going to do anything in Detroit. I like the addition for the Magic, because they have a potentialy all star front court. The addition of Arroyo could mean that Francis is as good as gone.
Darko Milicic is not wirth a top 10 pick, wake up guys...he's done nothing and will hardly play in Orlando...This is just another wasted draft pick...What if they don't trade Francis? Arroyo is then 3rd string PG...what a waste of time for Orlando.Detroit was not the problem for Darko, his complete lack of everything was.

Arroyo is not a third string PG, he is a great backup and average starting PG. And they WILL trade Francis, that is pretty much set in stone, and the only reaosn they made this trade. And Darko came into the L younger than Bron, Melo, etc... It took T-Mac years on the bench overshadowed by great players before he was traded and made the huge improvement he did. Darko is younger than probably most of the 2006 draft will be, so give him time.
He hasn't done anything yet, but hasn't had any oppurtunity. There is hope though, in his only NBA start, he scored seventeen points. He is also still just twenty one years old. So this could potentialy be a great addition for the Magic.
Very sneaky trade by Detroit. They lose 2 unwanted players, pick up a good center and a solid draft pick which they need for the 2007 draft.

Well, now we know Francis is going to be gone. they now have 4 PGs: Nelson, Dooling, Frachise, and Arroyo.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>They lose 2 unwanted players, pick up a good center and a solid draft pick which they need for the 2007 draft.</div> Don't fool yourself, Kelvin Cato is not a good center by any stretch of the imagination.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>I think the plan is, atleast long-term, that Darko will play alongside Howard.</div> He's just so bad...I cannot picture Darko starting games...lol
He isn't bad, he hasn't been able to improve at all to when he was first drafted. Again, there are so many players that came from high school and struggled for years. Darko is only 20!
