When Darko has played he looks like a kid from the YMCA being dropped from a time machine and doesn't know there the hell he is.

The magic have 5 point guards not 4Steve Francis, Carlos Arroyo, Jameer Nelson, Keyon Dooling, and Travis DienerIf you want just guards you can throw DeShawn Stevenson in there too6 players for 2 spots, but most likely it will be 5 as Diener wont get nearly as much playing time now and if Francis is gone than it will be much more reasonable

Darko lacks rebounding and boxing out. But he's quick for his height and can shoot [latley he hasn't been airballing like he used to]. I just think it's confidence issues. Imagine not being in the regular rotation then they trade for another guy who plays for you're position. How shattered would you be?Imagine Howard and darko in a couple of years? The new twin towers?

That pick ain't all good for Pistons, as one person already stated the details on it. Pistons only luck out if Magic suck really bad in 08'. Also, Pistons lose depth at pg, no offense, but Hunter backing up isn't much insurance. And Cato is unneeded, with the amount of bigs they have. Doesn't Dale Davis occupy the emergency big man role already.

I love this deal for the Magic. They get a player in Darko who at this point is still an unknown, but very much worth the risk. He's only played an average of 6 minutes a game throughout his short career, so you can't gauge how talented he is at this point. He is still only 20 and has a long career ahead of him, especially playing Center along side one of the rising stars of the game in Dwight Howard. Carlos Arroyo will help out with the PG depth, and him coming in probably means the end of Steve Francis in Orlando. Kelvin Cato is nothing special, just will add depth and the draft pick was fine because its top 5 protected this year, though I don't think they will be there, so if they get it this year it's fine and if it goes to 2008 the Magic should be a pretty solid team by then so the pick won't be as good. Orlando definitely got the better end of this deal and now they must make sure they give Darko every chance to prove himself.

Losing a top 10 pick for him is foolish because drafting Sheldon Williams makes more sense because you know he can play.

He has never played quality minutes in the 3 years he has been around. Larry Brown never wanted to start him cause he was a rookie and he has barely played another year since then. We have no way of knowing how good he really is. Also we know that it takes a few years for young european big men to get into solid playing shape in the NBA. I can understand what you mean with Sheldon Williams, I agree that he will be a solid NBA player, but I just think that this move wasn't a devastating one. It more or less comes down to giving Darko the minutes he needs and then seeing how good he will be.

Guys the pick only stands for 07 or 08, and it's protected in 07, 1-5. So Pistons only get it, if it falls from 7-w/e.And Manny, Pistons ain't keeping Cato, they got enough bigs, they lack depth at pg. Hunter backing up Billups ain't gonna cut it. Look for Cato to be turned into a pg before deadline.

A top five pick, or the last pick in the first round is much more valuable to them then a young forward that will never see time.

I didn't say they lost out on it, I think it's more of a cap space clearer then anything for Det. I'm just replying to the people who think this pick is gonna be a great one. I can't see it, and if they get a top pick(possible if Magic just blow it the next years), won't it be similar to Darko's situation? Hard for playing time?
