Knowing that they gave one away the other night vs. Orlando, do the Blazers take out their frustrations on Utah in front of their home fans? Now that Martell is back on the shelf, I suspect Batum's game will return since he doesn't have to look over his shoulder for a while. Outlaw, who blames himself for Tuesday's loss, will be effective and efficient in holding AK47 to a non-factor. If Boozer cames back, Aldridge and Oden (whom I suspect will see a lot more action tonight... 25-30 minutes) will shut him down since he will be not at 100%. I am predicting a Blazer blowout tonight, and Charles Barkley still dismissing the Blazers as non-factors in the West.
I sure hope so. That way all those bi-polar fans will start crowning us Western Conference champs again . . . that is, until our next loss and then we'll need to fire Nate and trade Outlaw, Bayless, Blake, Sergio, Raef, Frye, Ike and, yes, possibly even Oden!
I hope they come out pissed off. I don't know about a blowout, but I want to see some fire and emotion from the guys.. I don't want to see them fold or sulk after a tough loss. Utah doesn't have Boozer tonight, and supposedly Deron is regretting coming back a little too early. Hopefully we get a win
outlaw couldn't hold Victor Krypha in check. I think that loss will linger possibly into the clips game. If w elsoe that game... maybe our gm will realize the league has caught up and we need a trade at SF. you simply cant have your starting SF get 0 points...its not acceptable if u wanna win.
Ever heard of Bruce Bowen? dude averages like 5 pts a game for his career and was a key part of several championship teams for the Spurs. Learn the game.
I was really worried there for a second - but then I checked the rosters and apparently Victor is not playing for Utah tonight. Maybe he has a hamstring injury. I think we are safe...
If by pissed you mean jacking up 3's, Travis fading away, Roy not being aggressive early, Batum playing great defense and getting yanked for the mad bomber and Oden getting into early foul trouble then yes. They will be really pissed.
Maybe he meant his fellow countryman....I doubt it, but I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Then again Travis could guard Oksana Baiul
Nah, Monya was not really NBA material. Victor on the other hand was a great NBA player - he was worth the difference from the equation Lamarcus Aldridge minus Tyrus Thomas. That's almost All-star level right there.
I just want to see us hustle and play smart. It's tough to win in Utah so I'm not necessarily expecting a victory. I just want to see us play well and let the chips fall where they may.
This is Radium Stadium, so I'm not expecting a win, but I do think the Blazers will give Utah a good shot.
I'll be disappointed if we have less than 30 points and 5 dunks in the first quarter. I have no expectations for the rest of the game, but our guys better come out with some fire.
Fire in the belly is not a strong point for this team. That's one aspect of the Spurs I wish we weren't trying to emulate. I know some of you don't like to hear it - but be honest. Wouldn't it do your heart good to see Penknife throw one down with enough fury to leave a divot in the defender's skull? Wouldn't you enjoy watching these guys channel Mo Lucas or Kermit Washington for a few minutes?
Wow. Roy and LMA displayed their professionalism - and that seems to work for them. The rest of the team, not so much. Playing with emotion is not a bad thing!
