Also, you have to realize, race or not, Yi Jianlian is pretty much a household name in China. If the Greek basketball league advertised All-Star voting in America, Josh Childress would get tons of votes. Not racist, just he's the only guy American basketball fans know.

I also want to point out that pretty much all the ESPN Highlight reel type of peepz are extremely popular in China...
2007-08 Top Selling Jerseys in China
    1. Kobe Bryant, Los Angeles Lakers
    2. Kevin Garnett, Boston Celtics
    3. Tracy McGrady, Houston Rockets
    4. Paul Pierce, Boston Celtics
    5. Allen Iverson, Denver Nuggets
    6. Gilbert Arenas, Washington Wizards
    7. LeBron James, Cleveland Cavaliers
    8. Dwyane Wade, Miami Heat
    9. Dwight Howard, Orlando Magic
    10. Yao Ming, Houston Rockets

On contrary to Popular belief, Chinese fans aren't mindless zombies that only vote for their own. Last year was Yi Jianlians ROOKIE YEAR...his Jersey WASN'T even in the top 10....so much for China "Stanning".

Stupid Nets fans hating their own players. This is why Knicks pwn the Nets last night. No home court advantage.

Devin is the best guard in the east and he is that far behind? are you kidding me? This is why I don't care if Yi gets voted in, this all-star game is a complete joke. Matter fact I want Yi to beat out KG an bosh to prove the point that NBA fans SHOULD NOT be the ones to decide who plays or not.

IMO, Dwyane Wade is the best Guard in the East...DH is definitely a force though.

Yeah, cosign, Joe Johnson is a Diet Clyde Drexler. My only criticism for DH is he needs to get his teammates a little bit more involved THEN score, set the tempo, control the pace, then decimate the defense a la Tim Hardaway back in the day.

If Yi wasn't Chinese, would he have half the amount of votes that he does?

Would he have almost FOUR times as many votes as Devin Harris?

    Just sayin'

Funny how that actually turn out really. All the Chinese people especially the ones on the Chinese website's that i've seen voted for Yi also voted for VC and Devin Harris. Maybe not a lot of the Chinese votes counted after all bro.

I expect that Chinese people would vote for Yi. It's easy to root for him. But to pretend it's not happening and to get defensive about it is just funny.

No clue, but RealGM forum people are all voting for Yi to break the ASG system. Don't know the deal with Harris, I guess he was too much of a scrub before a month ago.

What's the deal with Ridnour??? White people stop, you already own hockey.

It's funny too that people will believe anything that they hear or read. I guess Devin Harris isn't really Devin Harris and VC isn't VC. The fans just have got them all mixed up.

That's so sad, probably ONLY Chinese people voted for Harris. That's the total worth of the Chinese voters. From the evidence of last night's game and shitty game fan attendance. There are no Nets fans in US. There are more Raptor fans that hate VC then actually Nets fans.
