Plus, it sounds like the rehab is going well, even though there's still no timeline. So overall, that's good. Not sure I agree with his assessment of Crawford, but he is right that in Nelson's system you don't necessarily need (or maybe even want) a single point guard. Two good combo guards could work.
Wow -- thanks, HiRez. This is a great read. I liked everything Monta had to say. Honestly this makes me feel a whole lot better about his situation.
Yeah, but there's a difference between saying you will be 100% and actually being 100%. We shall see.
I liked the part where he says he's going to stay a Warrior. I don't think that's just hot air, because if there were any doubt, he would have said what every other NBA player would say: "I leave that stuff to my agent. My job is just to go out there and perform." I also like his analogy comparing the suspension to a father-son relationship, and the fact that he's put it in the past and is ready to move on. I've been worried that he and his agent would want to make noise / stress for GS, like with appealing the suspension, but it seems like Monta really wants to just turn a page and be a Warrior on the court again. That's good news.
I'm glad Ellis wants to be a warrior. I'm really worried about Wright, Belinelli and Randolph. I'm almost certain that Randolph will probably go to L.A. (when Kobe starts winding down) or somewhere where he can be THE star.
