why does everyone think bayless is automatically the answer? obviously he hasn't proven himself to nate and the rest of the coaches or he'd be playing. this kid has a long ways to go before he's ready to start. as for batum, he's struggling, no doubt about it. he'll find his way out of it, sadly for the starting unit there is no one else to start right now. you want to put outlaw in there? i sure as hell don't. if you put rudy in there what does that do to the second unit?
Why does everyone think Batum is the answer? He may be the worst starting SF in the NBA right now, which is amazing considering the start this team has. I don't fault Batum for this, but he is not ready at this point in time.
Who's the other option? Outlaw was almost as bad, and Rudy got 30 minutes tonight. It's not like Batum is taking away time from other players (except Bayless, but then you'd be real small) and he'll snap out of this slump eventually.
Outlaw didn't get to play with Oden. I almost wonder if Batum's lack of offense is hindering Oden at this point.
I actually love Batum - but I think that Nate is really being pressed to play Sergio to let him "prove himself" or "help Rudy" - but the truth of the matter is that I am not sure Rudy really needs help anymore. He can already talk the language - and he needs to handle the ball more - so putting him next to Bayless and make him take some of the offense creation duties is not bad. If we must have Sergio to help Rudy there - let's try Bayless - we can not ride Roy all night every night to be the only one that can attack the rim from the dribble. He will fall over exhausted sooner or later.
He wasn't exactly the Michael Jordan of the French League. Will he be productive? Sure. Is he worthy of being a starter right now? No way in heck.
who called him mj? he fits perfectly with our starters. i think he is worthy. players go through slumps, just like aldridge did.
One less player to account for on the offensive end. I guess we'll see the end of Batum starting soon enough. I like his future, but I don't like him being a starter right now.
i agree on roy, he's going to wear down eventually. i guess i just don't see it out of bayless. i watched the kid play alot last season and he doesn't have the PG mentallity. i'm afraid if he were to take over on the second unit that it'd be more of the stand around iso game that the first unit plays alot of. the beauty to me of our two units is that the second comes in and with the SC they move the ball and we get some open looks at the basket. sergio, and to an extent rudy, play a high risk, high reward style and when it's working it's great. when that style isn't working everyone is ready to jump off a bridge and kill sergio. i just don't think you can have it both ways.
Just off the top of my head, at the start of the 2nd half he did. Fortunately you don't actually wonder that, because if you did, I'd worry about your ability to analyze a game. I really don't see the relationship, Greg has his own problems unrelated to anyone elses. Batum's biggest problem is that, despite getting himself in a decent position to grab a rebound, get a steal, make a shot in the paint, etc., he isn't aggressive enough and ends up losing out. Also, he's in a bad shooting slump, and he's a 19 year old rookie.
"Subjective." new worst catch phrase of the board. congrats you've already beaten out kingspeed/addy's "checkmate"
Martell, of course. I've said that many times before. I don't think he's an All-Star, but he is the best option at this point and can be a very productive threat on offense.
NO FUCKING SHIT, IT'S MY OWN FUCKING OPINION. Would it kill you to respond to my points, instead of ingeniously pointing out that my post contains my opinion?
