Warriors at Thunder - will we hit ROCK BOTTOM? I kinda want the Warriors to lose tonight if we continue to play the way we have been...we deserve to lose. I think the Warriors need to hit rock bottom in order for the players, coaches, and front office to realize just how bad we really are. I think they still might be delusional in thinking we're a competitive team. Forget playoffs, forget winning, we're not even competitive! The recent schedule might attribute to it A LITTLE, but come on!!!

Re: Warriors at Thunder - will we hit ROCK BOTTOM? If the Knicks -- with only 7 healthy bodies -- could absolutely destroy the Warriors (they man-handled the Warriors like a bunch of little school-girls) then I think Durant could easily go for 50 and just demolish the Golden State Gunners. That's reality, to me.
Re: Warriors at Thunder - will we hit ROCK BOTTOM? No Mags or AR, SJax is a gametime decision. Let the tanking begin!
Re: Warriors at Thunder - will we hit ROCK BOTTOM? What happened to Mags and AR? Actually, I only care about AR. Mags can sit out the rest of the season. EDIT: from Janny Hu
Re: Warriors at Thunder - will we hit ROCK BOTTOM? This was a good first half. The team is playing very good basketball. I am liking the defense that they are playing now, much more than what they were playing previously. It is more zone-like, so it seems, and not as extreme on the switching. They team should just keep Maggette on the bench. I like how this group of players is playing. It helps to play the Thunder. That teams needs a lot of help.
Re: Warriors at Thunder - will we hit ROCK BOTTOM? That game ended closer than I hoped. I thought they might blow it Miami style, especially after the inbounds turnover play. That was ugly. But for some reason Brandan Wright was stuck on the bench for the 4th quarter. I don't know what that was. He was the most productive players along with Andris Biedrins out there on the court. I think he missed most of the 2nd half, easily. But overall, good game by just about everyone. They just need to keep the turnovers down. The assist/turnover ratio for the team was really bad for this game. The shooting and shot selection was much improved as well.
Re: Warriors at Thunder - will we hit ROCK BOTTOM? Man the Warriors look so much better with Maggette and Jackson are wearing Armani suits. Great team game by all. Of course they had to face a close game at they end but they probably wouldn't have ever obtained the lead if Jax/Mags had been in the game. Great way to close it out at the FT line by Morrow.
Re: Warriors at Thunder - will we hit ROCK BOTTOM? Russell Westbrook ftw. We don't have anyone to guard him do we? I bet he gets fouled 12 times tonight.
Re: Warriors at Thunder - will we hit ROCK BOTTOM? Oh crap I was wrong. We won! I should have recorded this game.
Re: Warriors at Thunder - will we hit ROCK BOTTOM? Wright was taken out because he missed a rebound. Nellie was fuming. He put in Biedrins only after a few minutes of rest. Go Marco!
Re: Warriors at Thunder - will we hit ROCK BOTTOM? Weird. For some reason Nelson does not trust or want to rely on Wright down the stretch of any game. I think that is a mistake. I wonder what is going on there. I guess he's not a great rebounder, but it's not like the team is getting any boards with the lineups that he is using to close out games. Oh, yeah, and playing a team like the Thunder is a good way to get some momentum/motivation going, especially for the role players. Let's just see them come out and play like this against a better team. The assist/turnover numbers were still unacceptable though. There is one place to clean up, along with defensive glass, still.
Re: Warriors at Thunder - will we hit ROCK BOTTOM? Yeah, again, it's Nellie being stubborn. He won't let Wright learn from his mistake. He doesn't go over there to talk to him. Maybe that's a little bit too much hand holding, but the least he can do is put him back in the game. Marco's play is exactly what the Warriors need right now...and this is why we shouldn't trade him. He looks to involve his teammates but within the flow of the offense. Sjax looks to involve his teammates, but often forces passes or forces a drive leading to a turnover. Marco is fundamentally sound. So is Wright. And I even think Marcus Williams is (on offense). It drives me crazy that Nellie won't play them more when we are the youngest team in the league...we need to rely on fundamentals! This is how I am still able to play basketball. It might not be pretty or look cool, but it's effective and reliable. Nellie knows this...why does he go against it?
Re: Warriors at Thunder - will we hit ROCK BOTTOM? The Warriors did run some good/better fast breaks in this game. they just need to get the ball in the hoop instead of getting fouled/blocked some times.
Nellie's treatment of Wright is ridiculous. Guy goes 5-6 and does not make mistakes yet he yanks him out for not getting a rebound. Yeah I see Wright is soft sometimes but its not from lack of hustle or desire, its how he's wired, he's what I would call a "sleepy" player. I told my 2nd grade team this weekend, at the first practice, I know they are going to make mistakes, just play hard. How is it that Nellie can rail on Wright for a mistake yet let's SJax get away with the most basic turnovers?
Because (and this is my belief) Nelson doesn't know how to properly use big men in his offense or "defense" schemes. Nelson sucks.
Maybe he wants to keep Wright unexposed so the Warriors can give him a cheaper contract than he might otherwise get. The Warriors got a good deal for Biedrins. Maybe the same will happen for Wright.
If Nelson is doing that, he's a bigger idiot than I thought. I mean not idiot idiot, but the kind that doesn't see the obvious despite being a genius at times. The key positions we're missing on the squad are pure point guard and power forward, our biggest problems were shooting, passing, defense, rebounding, so why does Nelson insist on at first using Demarcus Nelson at starting point, while ignoring Marcus Williams and Marco Bellinelli (who I thought would play more point this year), and then playing a bunch of turnover prone swingmen and no true power forward. We got 4 power forwards, most of whom never saw more minutes than Sjax/Mags at PF. Bullsht! I mean a rookie PF that at least does the power forward's job ought to see more playing time. Put Hendrix, Kurz, Turiaf, Biedrins, Wright, Randolph, anybody but a swingman playing a big man's role unless it be Gerald Wallace or Shawn Marion or Durant or Deng (somebody that can play D or pass!) No we never got that. Nelson sabotaged the last half or so dozen of games before Oklahoma city and then later declared, "were not making the playoffs"... Well whose dumbass fault was it in making sure that we didn't make the playoffs. First 7 games, we didn't look that bad, then he started dicking with the lineups and things got worse. It was just bad.
