Vlad came from being our starter the whole season, and playing decently for the most part (for his standards), to zero minutes in one day. So... what's up. Is he getting traded or something? Are the Lakers auditioning Luke for a trade?
There are two situations I can think of: A trade is imminent. Either Vlad or Luke are gone or Vlad did something to get on Phil's shit list and was being punished for it.
I'm thinking Phil just switched it up. If one of them gets traded, I'd be shocked, because neither of them have desirable contracts.
Maybe Phil finally saw the YouTube video of Vlad sitting on his chair... Anyway, since I haven't watched a full game in a looooong time - what has Radman's game been like lately? Stats don't tell much.
pretty much back to the Vlad of last year with slightly better defense. Not nearly as good of D as he was playing to start the year.
Phil could end up hurting this team this year more than helping it. So far he has got under Bynum's skin and now Radman's. If Phil keeps up these silly tactics, he could cause some locker room issues and chemistry issues. I don't have a problem with the change, but notify Radman about it.
+1...just to let you know Mamba, if you replaced the players names in your posts your post would relate to the 3peat years....think about it ...it seemed to work out those years
Pretty much every single General Manager in the NBA knows more about basketball than people posting on a sports forum, otherwise they wouldn't get the job. But that still doesn't stop them from making mistakes and receiving well warranted criticism. Phil has a great track record. Good for him. But his lack of emphasis on defense and stubbornness have hurt us many times in the past. Gary Payton once stated that all the Lakers did in practice was run the triangle. They practiced defense sparingly, if any. And has this hurt us in recent memory? Um, yes it has... So as great as Phil has been in the past, he is not a free man. He warrants criticism like every other player on the roster and every other person associated with this organization. He'll get praise when he deserves it, and he'll get called out when he makes mistakes.
His lack of emphasis on defense has clearly hurt us last season, and it's hurting us now. So yes he deserves criticism.
