maybe that will show our cake baking GM that his little small forward cake is garbage. Outlaw gets worse every night. He is literally a turnover waiting to happen. Batum has regressed so much its like watching the summer league again. Dont get me started on Oden... he gets stripped or misses every time he touches the damn ball. Its almost unwatchable. Im telling ya, that loss to the magic was a season changer.....for the worse. Last year the grizz game changed our season for the better...this year not so much. after watching this game tonight, is anyone gonna seriously tell me that this team is getting a top 8 spot? no way. not unless we make a deal cause frankly...we dont have 4 weeks to wait for martell.... or wait for cakes to bake. ridiculous. maybe a loss to the clippers will wake up everyone.... cause right now we are in trouble and you all know it. oh and btw..dallas won tonight. one and half game lead....for the 8th spot! but hey...kp is baking cakes. who cares if we miss the post season for the 7th year in a row. let everyone else get better and we devlop. so f'kin sick of hearing the words....... develop, potential, next year, baking cakes, lottery, etc. WHEN THE F>>K IS OUR TEAM GONNA START WINNING? Everyone in the NBA knew we needed a SF and we were all fooled again and made no moves over the summer or now. Maybe if we lose tonight to the lowly clippers, some of you will understand .
everyone does that...even backups. maybe batum will get a bucket with his flat shot? maybe frye will get one of his 20 footers in? if we get into a shootout with them...we are dead. and you know zach is gonna want that one. theres so much to upgrade on this team...its not funny. starting PG, SF..backup PF..
It's pretty hard to have a good feeling about Greg at this point. I guess we can hope that Kaman will miss the flight to Portland.
Take off the rose-coloured glasses, MIXUM, and face reality: If Portland loses to the Clippers, this core is finished. It will be time to dismantle and rebuild. You simply can't lose three games in a row in this league and expect to ever contend for a championship, that year or any year thereafter. Roy, Aldridge, Oden, Fernandez, Bayless, Batum...they've had their chances. The next game is their last chance. If they fail yet again, that's it. There can be no hope, after that. Some players just don't have what it takes to win every game. We need to find a few players who have the desire and interest to win every game.
A) Seven players average more turnovers per game than Travis Outlaw B) Kaman won't embarrass Oden. Kaman is hurt and out til Christmas. C) I agree that Oden is unwatchable most of the time. D) We lost AT Utah tonight. No shame in that. Utah has only lost like 3 or 4 games at home in all of 2008 E) Yes, we look like a top 8 team. We've played 16 road games, won half of them, are near perfect at home, and have beaten playoff caliber teams like San Antonio, Houston, Orlando, New Orleans, Detroit, and Miami. Also- we've only lost to one sub .500 team and that game was stolen from us by the refs.
i hate this but i have to agree with kingspeed. all the chicken little shit is really annoying. while i agree this team is struggling it is no time to throw in the towel. it's unrealistic for fans to expect this team to contend for a title this season. we will be on the doorstep, if not in, the playoffs at the end of the season. it is about seasoning and watching these guys grow together. what sense does it make to go out and have a knee jerk reaction like dallas did last season with the kidd trade? and please tell me which teams are gettting better? and better how, for this season or for 3-4 years down the road? dallas will be much worse in that time, as will phx, houston and sa. give it time people, have a little patenice and faith, although judging by the christian bashing i'm guessing faith is not something most of you have.
Thanks for agreeing with me. However, faith in the team has nothing to do with Christian bashing. You're asking people to put their faith in the Blazers. Christians put their faith in Christ.
Now THIS is the kind of bitching I was hoping for in my "it's the end of the world" thread. Leave it to the HOF'er to pull out all the stops. Quality work - even better than usual. Congrats.
Only thing I worry about is the Clippers haven't played since Monday so they'll be well rested while we are playing back to back and looked tired last nite.
Over the last five games, Outlaw has played 110 minutes and has 3 turnovers, total. Opinions are fine, but when the stats refute them, I have to call it out.
