They just interviewed someone from Clippers who said they will likely sign Miles in January......take it for what it's worth

If this indeed happens then it means we have to trade Raef instead of waiting for his contract to expire and trying to sign a free agent.

Miles, Ricky Davis, Baron Davis and Zach all on the same team... have fun Mike, you deserve what you're going to be getting.

I'll believe it when I see it. Could it be Dunleavy looking to fuck us over because he knows he's canned after this year?

    Great move by the Clips.

It's really a no brainer for a team to hinder Portland as much as possible in their attempt to sign whoever the fuck they want next year.

Hopefully this will force KP to trade for someone this season instead of waitint too long and trying to do it in the off season.

There is also a good chance though that Portland won't be responsible for the money because the rule was not intended for this.

Would you guys be interested in both Nocioni and Hinrich? Lafrentz and Blake for Hinrich and Nocioni. Nocioni probably makes more sense for a team like Portland than he does for Chicago at this point.

I'd like to say we'd send Tyrus Thomas in the trade to you as well, but I can't see Portland being the team that Tyrus is traded to after that whole 2006 draft day trade disaster thing.

Why wait until January? If Miles is such a hot commodity, the Clips would be wise to lock him up, long-term and immediately.

Not sure, I only caught a little piece of what they were saying but something about a roster spot being available?

Wow, a Darius and Zach reunion... is there a GM in the league stupid enough to put them back together knowing what that combo was like in Portland? I can't imagine Donald Sterling paying for Darius to sit out the first 10 games with the suspension. Weird.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why they're the Clippers...

Somehow it just makes sense.

I think Bonzi is still looking to hook up with a team.

    The JailClippers???

At least it rhymes with nail clippers - and they are about as exciting.

You know I would have been interested in this early this season. Kirk is a no brainer for me. I love his game and tough attitude. Andres has so badly under-performed, and even though I think he's much better than he's playing, I just couldn't risk adding him and his contract at his age (especially given his injury problems).

Now that's a recipe for winning; Imagine the defense that trio would play. Is Donald Sterling the worst owner in sports? Dunleavy the stupidest personnel guy? I'm speechless ... imagine that, somebody PURPOSEFULLY putting Darius and Zach on the same team again ... Wow!

If they sign him in January, they would be signing him for the rest of the season, which seems doubtful to me. Maybe he has got way better since the preseason...

Nah...he could sign a couple 10 day contracts as a sort of trial run. That would allow them to 'test drive' Miles in practice while he serves his 10 game suspension. (You can start signing guys to 10 day contracts in early January)

Then, even if they decided not to keep him, they would be helping to clear a path for another team to screw us over by signing Miles to a couple more 10 day contracts.
