I was listening to the radio yesterday and the DJ said B Roy is 10th on the allstar voting for guards in the west!!!! WTF!!!!!!!! We all know this is crap!!!!! We need to vote people and get our allstar back in that game. There is no way that some of the players on that list should be ahead of Roy.

The Blazers and the fans need him as an allstar. ROY will bring major talent here to play next to him in 2011 if major talent feels this is a city where they can be an allstar too.

Long story short..... Let's Blow up the Voting for B ROY.

Most of you post here every day and many posts..... it takes ten seconds to vote for ROY everyday on the NBA website.

Roy not an allstar would be a crime and our Blazers and the Rose City will suffer for voting ignorance.

That's my pitch. Have a great weekend!!!!

As much as I'd love to see Brandon voted in by the fans, it's not gonna happen. I think he's got an excellent shot at being a coach's selection again this year. That's almost worth more in my opinion.

our team isnt flashy enough , doesnt win enough currently against really good teams to get him bumped up.

...and many east coast fans are in bed when the 3rd quarter of a blazer game starts.

Fan voting is a joke. Always has been. It's partially the leagues fault too. They open up the voting so early that people have little choice but to vote on reputation or on what they think that player will do this season.

Anyways, fan voting is pure popularity, nothing more. The All Star reserves is a bit better as the coaches don't have to make their decisions so early. I'm sure Brandon will make it as a reserve this year, unless Portland goes on a massive losing streak.

I couldn't give a flying fuck about the All Star game. In fact, I'd like our guys to get some rest. Therefore, if I vote, I'm voting for all the players I want to see do some work--Kobe, CP, Duncan, Amare, Nash, Dirk, etc.

All I'm saying is the USUAL suspects on this board make up the strongest basketball board on every site they show up on. From Fanhome to BBB to now here. Many posts every day so.... it couldn't hurt to take five seconds and blow up the NBA.com vote board. B ROY I think is worth the time since we spend many hours a week talking on this site about our players. For what it's worth.

And all I'm saying is that I don't need the approval of fans across the country. If you want respect, then win.

Wouldn't it be better if our players didn't make the All-Star game and then felt they had something to prove? Remember when Aldridge didn't make the rookie team at All-Star break?

The coaches will vote him in. I could care less about the All Star game though. I think it's a big deal for Brandon and LaMarcus. Too bad LaMarcus struggled early on, but even then I didn't see him getting in.

Here's the only problem with the logic of "I don't give a .... about the allstar voting" Players CARE!!! When big name free agents sign, they don't want to go to a city where 30ppg players like ROY get overlooked for guys like
Derrick Fisher. If B Roy and LA make the allstar game, players like D Wade or Lebron think...HMMM Portland has a great fan base two allstars and a great young center in ODEN. Oh yeah and they have the wealthiest owner in the league to pay me what I want and NIKE is there.

    That's all I'm saying....

No, they think Portland is a rainy, white bread backwater and they'd rather play back East because they only have to come here once a year.

I just don't think a lot of fans believed he'd be voted in, so why bother voting. Brandon knows we all love him here, he heard the MVP chants last season.
He'll no doubtedly be voted in by the coaches. Hopefully whoever coaches doesn't play him as much as he did in last year's game. The guy could probably use the rest when the time comes.

This is a business first. Stern has proved that to us all. Marketing your best players matter! Chris Bosh will be an allstar yet the Raptors have no shot of doing anything in the playoffs if they even make it. The same can be said for D Wade and Miami.

No Maxiep, I think that's what you think! Cleveland is an armpit and Phili is not a dream, don't even get me started on Detroit or the warm love that Boston has to give to its own teams.

Portland is a great city that is affordable, clean, safe and has major growth potential. It just needs to be marketed more main stream.

If what your saying is true about this city.... then how do you think we'll be able to keep players like LA or ODEN when the big cities come a knocking and they will?

That's why this is important. Would you want to stay in a city that gets you no exposure? For that matter how will we keep ROY?

In that time there were approximately 178,963 votes for other Western Conference guards.

Yeah, if we want to all spend a day off work punching cards, we could get through thousands and get him into the game. But that won't happen. He won't beat out Kobe/Paul, but will maybe get in on the coach's vote (hopefull).

What is scary is that Yi Jianlian has a much better chance of beating out KG for the East starting forward spot.

Chill my brother. He will get in the game. The fans vote for the starters. There is no way Roy would have made it over Paul/Kobe anyway. The coaches will vote him in again. They understand how good he is... we have seen their comments.

But I think he deserves much more votes... ahead of Manu, as I think he is clearly better than him. Roy is on the level right below the Kobe/LeBron/Wade/Duncan level (maybe Paul on there) with D. Williams, Bosh, etc... imo. I think most NBA analysts consider him the 3rd best SG in the NBA... i think he is better than McGrady, Johnson, Iverson, Allen, Ginobli, Hamilton.
