Every time we play a team that is supposed to be good, the nets play impressive. And when we play garbo teams, like the knicks and wizards, we get destroyed. I think the reason is because the NETS come in determined to beat legit NBA teams, and when we play sub .500 teams we underestimate them. So this Friday, I have a good feeling that VC will have a huge game against the RAPS. And were at home. I also expect Devin to drop 28-30 points, the usual.

I really hate the Nets always lose to the sub teams, pacers, heat, knicks, wizards... damn it.

Bad teams gotta win sometime. Even the Kings beat the Lakers.

I'm trying to have a very Zen approach to this season. I predicted just 22 wins, so I'm already half-way there! Any win is just an additional treat at this point. This team is insanely overachieving.

what worries me is the nets have what we thought was an easy schedule. In December they have 16 games with 10 being at home. So far in december they faced the wizards, sixers, wolves and nix, and they are 2-2. They still have 8 games left at home. I wonder if they can go .500

What if the nets actually pay people to show up??

    Welcome to S2 dharris34 :)

I somewhat agree with you that the Nets underestimate the bad teams and take it easy for a chunk of the game until it's too late. It's not always true though, as we saw with the win against the Wolves.

The Nets have won games against bad teams (Wolves, Clippers, Wizards). That's not their problem. Their problem isn't that they're underestimating other teams. They're just not that good a team themselves, and in the losses against the Knicks, Wizards and Pacers they showed that clearly. Don't expect them to win every game against those teams.

Also, the Knicks aren't a garbage team.

I don't think it's underestimating opponents as much as it is still trying to figure out how to adjust to opponents changes from what they prepared for going into games.

It's an equal part Frank/players blame kind of thing. Frank is still trying to figure out who and how to use everyone in different situations and when we're playing a team that is injured or has new players it's difficult sometime to fully prepare for what they're in for on a given night. The onus is also on the players to step up and recognize who they're up against on the floor as well and make smart decisions on the fly.

We are a team that is still growing and finding our identity so teams can get runs on us and send us reeling. The good news is that we have fought back in a number of games and have adjusted from our mistakes in alot of ways. Now if only we could guard the 3 point line we'd be in business.
