According to a source, the Yankees will offer Ben Sheets a multiyear deal - most likely for two years in the $30 million range - before the winter meetings conclude on Thursday. http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/b...yankees_brewin_up_multiyear_offer_for_fr.html Do want. More want than Lowe or Burnette, that's for sure.
Would be a steal considering what they paid Pettitte the last few seasons. Get it done Cashman! -Petey
At worst, you have a guy missing half the season, and doing fantastically otherwise. . That's better than having AJ Burnett miss 3 seasons.
Get it done. We get him, we'll have one of the better rotations in baseball, especially the front end of it. CC Wang Sheets Joba Hughes Those first three could easily be a #1 for any team. The back end of the rotation is iffy because of the youth, but it could be better if we bring back Pettitte or bring in another FA pitcher. But the first three would be absolutely filthy good, as long as they stay healthy.
Wanger and CC can both eat innings, so having inning caps on Joba (or Hughes, when one of them gets injured) isn't a bad idea.
yes thank Cashman great move here 2 year deal is nothing there really is no risk and i think Sheets is gonna come back strong this year
