After last game, I called Ben Gordon out for not being as deadly this year because of the downfall of his three point shot. This game, he comes out making 3 threes in the first quarter, scoring 9 points early on, giving the Bulls a 15 to 6 lead. If Gordon can turn the corner on his threes, the Bulls will be a really deadly team.
Last year, Aaron Gray was strong offensively in the low post because of his huge size advantage. Now that he's lost so much weight, he can't hold his position as well on the low block, although his defense is much better.
Ben Gordon completely schooled OJ Mayo. Vinny just kept calling the same play, and Ben kept hitting the shot. Hopefully Ben can get 50 tonight.
It stinks that stoogetv.com went down. While I'm glad stooge finally got what was coming to it, by their admins constantly not putting on the Bulls game, and then basically saying, "Donate if you want to see the Bulls game" and then just jacking a justin.tv link, or otherwise not having the Bulls on. But the chat on there usually provided a link. I would recommend going to one of the past few game threads. Find the one link provided for it. And then from there, I think on that page, it has a More Games link or something of that nature, and you can try finding the Bulls game from there.
The reffing has been ridiculously pro-Grizzlies tonight. They purposefully took Ben out of the game. He didn't even touch Conley and they called a foul.
The new Larry Hughes experiment with another good game. It's amazing how good a player gets when he stops taking stupid leaner shots.
Hopefully Paxson has Hinrich traded soon. There is no point not to. If Gordon bolts in free agency, you just make Larry Hughes the starter. There are absolutely no minutes available for Hinrich if he were to come back, so there is no reason to create this problem. It would be a horrible travesty to take minutes away from any of our three guards. They all have played great this season.
I think you'd be on to something if Hughes had looked good against the Lakers, Cavs and Celtics instead of the wizards, knicks and grizzles...
Ben Gordon needs to take over here in the fourth. Our bigs have to step it up. They're getting pounded inside. Hopefully Nocioni finds his way back to the bench soon. Can't see us pulling this out if he plays significant minutes in the fourth.
