4 out of 5 free throws isnt believable at home. So as of tonight i believe we are now the 7th seed. Sunday we were the 2nd seed. Thats what happens when you collaspe. We have no scorer besides roy and aldridge. If pritchard doesnt get us a SF soon, this season is lost. we arent anywhere near the top 8. sorry its the truth.:sigh:

whats gonna be the excuse when we lose to the kings?

We're lucky we beat Toronto. I expected a tailspin after Boston spanked us. They'll right the ship soon.

I think its good that the Blazers loose a couple games, get their tails between their legs and learn how to play better. Sometimes they play as a team and they win other times they just all watch Roy.

The Blazers are the blemish upon Portland. The Blazers have forgotten the face of their fathers.

Seriously, chill out. You're still a top team. Good teams often lose to bad teams. Good teams go in slumps.
    It's how the NBA works

Things even out, we're still on pace to win 54 games this season. This game was a double over time loss on a second game of a back to back playing a team that had 3 days off. Portland ran out of gas.

    48 (15x3 and 10x3 = 45 - 30 = 7 games left = 4 - 3 or 5 - 2 = 48.5 - 32.5)

    54 (82/3 = 27.33 x 2 = 54 - 28)

IDK which one of these formula's is correct, but we are on pace from anywhere from 48-54 wins. But taking into account that we played an insanely hard schedule (not just the teams, but how many games in how many days, and road/away ratio) I think we will have a better record the rest of the way then just 2 out of every 3. I predicted 48, but I think we can get to mid-50s.

We are going to live and die by the 3-pointer with this current lineup. Nate hasn't show much of an ability to retool, especially during the season.

We need easy buckets. Period. End of story.

We need a PG that can run the fastbreak and/or a SF that can get to the FT line with consistency.

If we lose to the Kings then I would agree there's a major problem.

Right now, I'm not that concerned.

Why is Mixum even a "fan"?

I think I'll create another log-on and pretend to be a Lakers fan and post nothing but negative thoughts every single chance I get.

[DaRizzle, you didn't see this post, OK? So when "DNyennie" shows up on the Lakers forum, it's not me!!!]

Mixum is a historically bi-polar poster that many people have chosen to not take seriously. He was banned multiple times on a different site and apparently is back with a vengeance. If we just ignore it, it'll go away (the threads).

Oh . . . well then . . . is there any way to limit his new threads to one/week? And cap his replies within each thread? That'd be heavenly.

That loss doesn't mean much. It was simply a fluke loss. We all know Portland could have won that game, but they didn't close it out. Every team is going to have those kinds of losses, and early in the season is the best time to have them. Late in the season or in the Playoffs, the players are going to remember this kind of loss and if they have it in them, won't let it happen again.

Try the ignore feature. Feeding the troll is what keeps it alive.

    Uh, no.

But you reach your bitching quota by about 6:03am each day and when all you post is whiney, negative stuff it loses its effectiveness. I'm still relatively new to this forum so that's why, as we speak, I can't resist the urge to troll feed you but the day is fast approaching that I'll just open your threads just to see what kind of insanity you're complaining about and move on. Soon after that, it won't even be worth opening any of your threads b/c it's the same ol', same ol'. I'm sure many others have already reached this point with you.

Mixum has a different effect on me.

Last night's gamed killed me. That is two in a row that I thought the Blazers were going to win. I been enjoying their success and record, so these two losses had me down and out.

When I get to the computer I cautiously open up this forum and find a mixum post and start thinking to myself, it's not that bad.

In a way, Mixum seems to bring out my optimist side at times I didn't think it was possible.

    Thanks mixum.

It's the NBA, any team can beat any other team on any given night. The Clippers are going to finish this season much better then what their record shows. Stop crying, it's a long season.

That's exactly it - it's a long season with lots of ups and downs. If anyone is going to go ape-shit with every single win or loss, they're just asking for ulcers (while also driving the rest of us insane).

If just one time, homeboy would come out with something like "bad loss to a team we should've beaten but it was a double overtimer on the back end of a back to back so I somewhat understand" . . . or something like that, he'd have a lot more creditability on all of his other posts.
