I would suggest that "let the cake bake" is pretty well played out. We need a new-and-improved phrase. An all purpose phrase that can be used to shut down debate and silence critics at their keyboards. My nomination: "Let the cat harf a hairball in the shoe!" Not bad...needs work....any other ideas?
I've simply been using "Bake it!" lately to shut down my critics. Either it's working or everyone has me on ignore. I think the RG crowd chanting BAKE IT! would really inspire the team as it shows we have confidence in them.
Rip Cakey! Bingo, Bango, Cake-o! Oh, my, that was CAKEY! Phil Jackson is confused, confounded, and caked! You've got to make your free cakes. Ball movement, cake movement. Red hot and cakey. Rise with us. I was not a cake major. barfo
Depending on the situation: Letting the cake bake is better than a half-baked team! Now, for the icing!
"Let the cake bake" is just code for "wait 'till next year." It's easily the most played out phrase on the forum since "It's going to be Martell Webster's breakout year."
I'm currious to know, from those of you that don't want to improve the team, when will you all think it is time for upgrades or trades in general? You all say let the cake bake, which is fine I guess, but when will it be time to let's say try to get a better PG, or better SF?
I middle of next year we are not looking like we are going to make playoffs... I'd trade. Looks like we are headed to playoffs this year last time I checked though. Far exceeding projections considering out schedule.
The other thing I think it is important to point out... is that a trade wouldn't necessarily improve the team. It may on paper... but it may have a negative impact on player moral and effort on the court. Just thinking we make a change and the team will play better is trader bob mentally.
I wouldn't be against a trade, but I kind of like the idea of waiting until the off-season and we can make a trade w/ more capspace, or sign a FA, or do something through the draft. But if the right trade comes along, I'd do it. I trust KP.
