Gasol passed that a little too late.

we need to pull away FAST, this is a cellar dweller team and needs to be a confidence boost game for us so we can get back to where we were. How did we only score 20 points on THEM in one quarter

Kobe takes far too many shots. Why cant he ever be consistently efficient

Couldn't watch the game but it seems like Kobe struggled again? Funny, before we were complaining that something is wrong with the defense. Now the offense has a problem as well.

What do you mean 'leader'? Just because he is struggling with his jumper doesn't mean we should question if he is our leader or not. He is our leader, plain and simple. Don't put that in question or quote marks; he is still the heart and soul of our team.

Kobe might always bark the loudest but Pau is leading the team right now

Pau has been our most consistent player, but no way in hell is he our leader. This team marches to Kobe's beat.

Actually Kobe doesnt even 'bark' at all... as lebron said during the summer... Kobe leads by example. If his teammates cant follow then he gets pissed and goes on 'shoot first' mode. Id really love it if he adopted that KG type attitude which makes his teammates cry

With regards to kobe being our leader... Yes, he is our leader... but a leader should also know when things arent going for him. The system revolves around him and since his shot isnt going he should try and rack up on assists.

Compared to other teams, our offense does not have any problems. Its just that our offense isnt as fluid/smooth as it should be or as it was before. I think i can say that Kobe is one of the reasons for this. Sure he attracts double teams, and feeds alley - oops to pau, bynum, trevor... but sometimes, because he takes bad shots, the offense kinda stops and because he took a bad shot, he'd wanna make up for it by going for another bad shot. :biglaugh:

I just cant understand why Kobe cant balance things out, i dont mean to compare, KB is my absolute favorite player, but look at wade if he has an off night he still manages to get around 8 assists with those sort of teammates (Chalmers, Marion, Beasley, Haslem, who else?) getting that many assists is phenomenal... If Kobe's jumper isnt working for him, why not try doing the same? try racking up on the dimes, drive and dish out... that sorta thing

Phil always said that Kobe's efficiency would be key to this teams success.

Anyhow... a win is a win anyway

Phil is on crack this year. Getting ass raped by Boston last year really fucked him up. Poor guy.

I'll lay off Phil when he stops with his crazy substitution patterns that put us at a greater chance of losing. Why doesn't he have any control of our guards? Does he give Fisher, Farmar, and Kobe to the green light to jack up a shot whenever he wants? Phil should be pounding it to them to feed the Gasol and Bynum. Phil should be cracking down on their minutes for their piss poor defensive effort. Phil should cut down on Lamar's minute for his ineffectiveness. But no, Phil is too stubborn to do any of that because he doesn't have the balls to stand up to Kobe, he respects Fisher too much, and God knows why he won't lay into Farmar. When Boston ass rapes us again on Christmas, maybe Phil will wake up.

Unless we start playing some inspired defensive basketball we've got no shot against Boston and maybe no shot against Cleveland.

you're right about us having no shot against Boston if we continue down this path, but Cleveland...lol, we can take em.

i just hate the lethargic play of some of these guys. one night they try on D, the next they go on cruise control until they allow our opponents find their groove on both sides. and yeah, these substitution patterns are pissing me off as well.
