I'm sure the game will go on as scheduled tomorrow, but the only time I can remember a game being cancelled was in 03/04 or 04/05. Snowed like crazy and the team had played in Seattle the night before. I think it was a game against Memphis. Anyway, I know Rudy can drive the lane, let's hope he can drive on ice!!!!!!!!

Didn't Dale Davis miss a game because of snow or ice?

The people in the Mid-West and North East would absolutely laugh at us. This weather is very mild for them. Canceling a game over 3 inches of snow? you gotta be kidding me.

He kept pump-faking, but the ice stayed on the ground.

I remember the Washington game a couple years ago was played even though there was a bad ice storm. It took me 3 hours to get from Salem to I-205 and by then it was already halftime so I turned around and went home. There were only like 3000 people at the game and the Blazers allowed us to exchange the tickets. They even closed the upper bowl and asked everyone to go sit in the lower level.

No more snow until Wednesday and the roads are in pretty good shape in NE Portland.

Oh God, Double D. Oh how glad I am that I no longer hear his name announced as a Trail Blazer at the games.

When they get hills all over their towns, then I will listen to their, "you can't drive in snow" drivel.

I lived in the Midwest for a few years as a kid. During snow storms friends and I made great sport of going to a very small hill with a stop sign at the bottom, where the road crossed a highway.

We would wave at the cars as they arrived to give warning, and then watch as they failed to repeal the laws of physics.

When you have solid continious ice on sloped roads - I don't care where you live or what experience you have - vehicles don't always cooperate with your desires.

Maybe not, but I've had quite a few of my desires taken care of inside of vehicles!!!!!!!

I had tickets to that Memphis game, and decided (along with about 15K other people) to not go to the game.

Ad some mountains, and some ice, and then they can ask questions.

Not that we get hit hard, but it's different to drive on snow on relatively flat ground, vs hills with ice.

the difference is that in the midwest, they actually pave the roads like crazy, all day. So while it's snowing a lot there, they do have decent road conditions.

Here, we aren't exactly used to snow so when it does happen, we don't really have the equipment or local crews to deal with it, thus very icy roads and unsafe driving conditions.
