<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Beacon Journal - Two league executives said the Cavs have had discussions about trading Gooden for Denver Nuggets point guard Earl Watson and Golden State Warriors point guard Derek Fisher, among others. Both of those players have four years and around $25 million left on their contracts after this season, making them somewhat undesirable considering both Eric Snow and Damon Jones also have three years left on their contracts. Not to mention that, in general, trading quality big men for guards is a long-standing basketball no-no. A more interesting option would be the Toronto Raptors ' Mike James, who likely will opt out of his contract at season's end. But it isn't clear whether the Cavs and Raptors have had meaningful discussions.</div>http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/391...son_and_fisher/

I wouldn't want to trade Gooden for Fisher or Watson. Gooden gets a double double almost every night. Marshall is to inconsistant. Gooden also is a great rebounder. He has an instinct on the boards, he seems to know where the ball will be and and comes down with it. He isn't always the brightest player on offense. But he can get some offensive boards and put backs. As long as we have Eric Snow, I am happy with our guards. It isn't a big concern for me. But Snow's salary is a problem. What we need is a scorer that can defend. The Cavs scoring ability is to inconsistant, which is a problem and has been in games.

although this would be a bad trade in my mind, I think its for the better sake of the team. yes Gooden is aving a career year but everyone does who is in there last year, I think they shouldnt trade him but they should trade Newble and a pick (maybe a secound rounder) for Watson. After that they should try to trade Gooden for Boozer. I want him to come back badly the Cavs miss him and he misses the Cavs I think the Fans and team will get over the leaving thing and we will be in the finals....................

I agree with trading Newble. I would like to see that happen too. As for trading Gooden, I would only do that if we got a better 4 man or if Gooden would want too much money, and end up being a chunk of our salary. I disagree however with trading for Boozer. Aside from the whole leaving thing, he hasn't been very good and he is always injured. As for the fans excepting him back, I wouldn't think they would. On the Cavs.com message boards, they always talk trash about Boozer. There is also a site devoted to Boozer http://www.carlosloozer.com. I don't think people would get over him leaving so easily. So I agree with trading Newble, Just not trading Gooden for Boozer.

KMart sounds good to me. I would be willing to give up Gooden for KMart, it prolly won't happen, but I didn't even think about it till you said something, that would be sweet.

I have heard rumors about this also. I hope it doesn't happen. I don't want to trade Gooden for a Guard. I heard about this some weeks ago, but the rumors started calming down and I don't think anything will go down with the Bulls, but I have no proof that nothing will happen with the Bulls and Gooden, just a guess.
