He continues his great season, and if the coaches don't vote him in for the all star game, I will not watch it. Simple as that. Celtics tie the record for the best start of the season at 23-2. Only Sixers and Knicks have gone to 26-2, I feel good at our chances of breaking that and I still feel good about breaking the Bulls' record of 72-10. GO CELTICS!!!
Those are nice stats for Rondo..he's grown alot over a year. However, If the Celtics, Lakers, or Cavs happen to break the Bulls 72 - 10 record, I won't be impressed..not because I'm a hardcore Bulls fan but the league today doesn't seem to have as much competition as back in the day. If we put the 1995 - 96 Bulls in today's league I can guarantee we'd break our own record.
I agree with you MJordan, even my dad says that at times. Any of those teams that played against the Bulls during that season (or lets say during the MJ era in the 90s) could be a contender today.
There's absolutely no way does he deserve to be in the All Star game. He's averaging 10/7, that's pretty much Andre Miller territory. The only way he'll get on the Allstar team is because of the Detroit Pistons rule (when they got 4 all stars in same game). Granted East has almost no good guards right now, but there are still at least 4 or 5 who deserve to be in the Allstar game more than Rondo. Take him off the Celtics and he becomes just a good starter.
yeah but there also isn't as many new expansion teams that diluted the league too. I don't see any of those 3 teams breaking the record, but the league is very tough right now and the overall quality of play is better than in 96 too.
