http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp-lakersfyi18-2008dec18,0,6362688.story I find this pretty amusing, throughout. Farmar needs to step up his play though. Our best bet is maybe acquire another point guard to give him some competition. Last year, he played his best basketball when he was being pushed by J-Critt. This year? We have two point guards on the roster, him and Fish. So it's guarenteed he's going to get minutes regardless. Get someone in there, give him some competition, and make him earn playing time. Grrrr..... He's can play much better than he currently is. He, along with the rest of the squad, just need a kick in the butt.
He fucking sucks. I want to trade his ass while he still has "value". He's got that disease that if he knows his job is secure, he doesn't give a fuck. He's more interested in his flashy play rather than what is best for the team. He should be breaking his man off the dribble with is speed, but he doesn't. I don't even think Farmar knows how to perform an effective crossover. When was the last time you saw a crossover from him? Usually he dribbles and tries to burn the guy with his speed and if he can't he'll pass it and float around the perimeter and shoot some stupid shot. He was good last year when Critt was pushing him. Once we traded Critt, Farmar's play went downhill. It hasn't picked back up. He's frustrated? How about he just sucks. He has to be the worst defensive guard in the NBA. He doesn't even try defensively. What is so hard about our defensive schemes? Defend the perimeter and the pick and roll. That isn't fucking difficult. With his speed, he should not be getting burned on defense. Opposing PGs start salivating when they see Farmar manning them up. It is basically a free bucket. Trade this hog-faced piece of shit while we can still get something for him.
while Farmar is somewhat of a douche, I have noticed over the years that Phil can stick with the triangle too much even when it doesn't make his players better...........I remember a few years back when Jackson was trying to force the triangle with Malone and Payton, and the lakers didn't have much success using it....they were much better when he just let kobe run the pick and roll with Malone.
