How does BJ win this fight? That is the thing fans have a hard time figuring out.

BJ supposedly has a big boxing advantage but all he was able to do last time was land a bunch of jabs. He never caught GSP with a power shot or knocked him down. For BJ to land anything more than a jab he'll have to be more aggressive in closing the distance between them, which puts him in the danger zone for being taken down.

Pretty much all of BJ's submissions have been by RNC so unless he can somehow manage to take GSP's back, I don't think we're going to see him pull out an armbar or a triangle from guard. When GSP is on top of him he'll try to use butterfly guard or rubber guard to keep GSP from getting good posture but there is little BJ can do to stop the fight from those positions.

Its easier to see GSP's route to victory--drag the fight out, attack BJ's body, keep changing levels and keep taking BJ down to wear him out. If he can eventually land in a good position like side control I think he is strong enough to pin BJ down and force a stoppage due to strikes. BJ is incredibly difficult to hurt or damage so I'd like to see GSP use elbows to cut him.

Its a fantastically compelling fight. I can't wait.

BJ can outstrike GSP and that's about the only thing I think he can do. So if he can keep it up for 5 rounds, he MAY be able to out point him. I think GSP will take BJ down and drop some elbows on him early and often. I think GSP also lets his hands go a bit more this time around. Watch GSP vs Fitch and that's what it'll look like IMO.

GSP has too many weapons IMO, its gonna be a very frustrating fight for BJ Penn. The combinations of take downs and getting popped in the face is really gonna wear BJ Penn down. I think a lot of BJ's weapons are gonna be neutralized by GSP's natural athleticism. Damn, this fight is gonna be so good.

If GSP wins, Dana has promised him a superfight with Anderson Silva. :NOTMARIS:
