Steve Nash is AMAZING..Before the year started Amare Stoudamire got injured..tHE NAtion then learned he was out until the all-star break which is this weekend..No Amare means no 30 point/10 rebound/ 3 block games..They lost Q-Rich, hes now playing for NY. They then traded Joe Johnson to the Atlanta Hawks for Boris Diaw, A couple 1st rounders...So without there top 2-3 scorers going into the year most Anaylsts believed that the Suns would be a little above .500..THEY HAVE GREATLY OVERDONE that talk, they stand 35-17 at the All-Star break..Steve Nash is the MAIN reason for this sucess..21 ppg, almost 12 apg. This guy is so incredible..I had no love for Nash last season, because he had so many options..This year hes got..Leandro Barbosa, Eddie House, Boris Diaw, James Jones, Kurt Thomas, and Raja Bell..You wouldnt have thought that this team would be where they are now with those guys right? I have so much respect for Nash now..Hes takin what hes been given and worked with it..Last Years Options:Joe Johnson: 17.1 ppgQ-Rich: 15ppgAmare Stoudamire: 26 ppg^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^All 3 are GONE, except Amare, hes injuredThis Years Options:Boris Diaw: 12.1 ppg, 7 rebounds, 6 apgEddie House: 11 ppgJames Jones: 10.4 ppgLeandro Barbosa: 13 ppg, 3 apgkURT tHomas: 9 ppgRaja Bell: 15 ppgNash's teammates this year: Eddie House, James Jones, and Boris Diaw have doubled there scoring totals.Quenten Richardson is now avergaing about 7 ppgBarbosa has upped his scoring by a fewRaja Bell has increased his scoring by a coupleShawn Marion is having the best year of his life, and hes earned an all-star appearance..STEVE Nash deserves more respect than anyone in the NBA..He is a TRUE Basketball Player/PG.

Yeah Nash though has Marion who is very athletic and still more outside shooters in place of the old ones. Q. Richardson really isn't much of a loss. Barbosa, Bell, House, James Jones, and Marion can all hit 3's. Scary how good they will be when Amare comes back.

I have said it so many times so I won't bother making an extremely long post, but you are giving Nash way too much credit. Nash has a lot more talent and depth on his team this year even without Amare. D'Antoni's offensive system and Bryan Colangelo's signings and trades deserve more credit than Nash.

I don't get this system stuff. What is D'Antoni's system? Run the ball everytime? Well, who is the one who operates that system ont he court? Who is the one with the ball in his hands, with the responsibility of making the pass or shooting the jumper? Steve Nash. Halfcourt sets in the NBA are virtually the same, so there's nothingn special there. Please stop talking about this system. Nash is the one who runs it, Nash is the one in control of it, Nash should get alot of credit.

The whole Steve Nash/average teammates thing has been debated into the ground...

There is a reason Nash is averaging 3 more assists here with all these "average teammates". If we had any other coach there would be NO Nash MVP talk. Nash deserves some credit, not as much as others. He's being overrated like(insert comical simile or metaphor here). And D'Antoni makes it easy for everyone to play well. Watching the games I can see Eddie House and Diaw running the offense as good as Nash a lot of times. With the run and gun offense anyone with a little talent can do good and since Nash was a top 5 PG with Nash it makes him look like an MVP candidate.Don't get me wrong though, I love Nash. I just think he's getting way too much credit.

How come not any other team in the league is able to have a point guard who can pass like Nash? His passing ability, shooting ability, and court awareness is incredible. I don't think the suns system made Nash good at these things.

I think Nash is a great point guard. And you have a good point, but how many teams have D'Antoni as their coach and run like we do? Exactly. Now can someone put my posts at 378?I think Nash is the best point guard in the league but he is not the only reason we are doing this good. Putting him in this offense is giving him career numbers. The credit goes to Colangelo for bringing the right players and coaches together.
