I hope Blake pulls a muscle shooting a free throw.

    Then Bayless would play.

As soon as Bayless arrived in town we heard that KP and McMillan weren't impressed with him. He looked terrible at PG in Summer League. He's only shown potential as a volume scorer. He's got a questionable attitude, which is a lot more questionable if it's true that he demanded a trade not even halfway through his first season.

He's probably going to be a very good player in the league, but might not be a good fit on THIS team.

Multiple people over on Blazersedge have gone through today's podcast and heard nothing about Bayless demanding a trade. As of now this is nothing more than a internet rumor.

...whenever he enters the draft, which won't be this season.

I'm not worried.. this has about as much juice as Comcast signing a deal with the satellite companies a couple weeks back that was started on OLive.
    Booooo to internet rumors!

Rubio is a lock to come out this season. It's not even a debate, it's well known.

We'll be sorry if we trade Bayless. He is one of those guys who plays with a chip on his shoulder and if we dealt him we'd be on his shit list for life.
Honestly, I would be pissed off too if I were him. He is seeing all of these other rookies, ones drafted ahead of him and behind him, get too much run this year, only to sit behind Steve Blake and Sergio Rodriguez....let that sit in.
Also, I'm sure he isn't demanding a trade, just wanted to let it be known, he wants to play, either here or elsewhere, just somewhere where he can play.

Frankly, I'm pissed at Nate. We have a kid who gets to the paint at will and doesn't back down from anyone. He has all the makings of a big-game player, EVERYTHING we need, and Nate sits him. I do not buy that "well we already play 3 rookies in the rotation." BULL SHIT. If you can play, you can play.

With any good young team, as the players develop, tronger personalities come out and chemistry starts to become an issue.

I love how this team, IMO, is playing an unselfish brand of ball where there isn't a player on the team that feels they have to get theirs on each night I know there will be as time where some bench players will realize they can start and have the opportunity to be a star on another team . . . but I don't expect that attitude from a young rookie #12 draft pick who hasb't proved anything yet and plays on a winning team . . . which is why I refuse to believe this is anything more than Bayless expressing a desire to play more.

7 Million is nothing for Rubio's talent. Any team in the NBA would pay that if it meant getting him. He's 3x the prospect Rudy is.

Team's aren't allowed to pay more than $500,000, so unless Ricky is willing to fork over $6.5 million to come to the NBA....

He'd be smart to since he's not making any money over there. He can make up $7MM real quick over here with endorsements. If New York ends up with the first or second pick he would make up that $7MM in his first season. Do you think he's going to pass on the chance to play in New York under D'Antoni, with LeBron James to pass to for a measly $7MM?

A "measly" $7 million.....I don't think there's any way he contributes anything close to that much money towards his buyout. Yes I think he'd pass on the "chance" to play in New York, who won't have LeBron by the time this season's draft rolls around.

Why would Rubio come over with the 7 million buyout? The NBA isn't going anywhere, he can come over next year or the year after when his buyout is better.

Bayless needs the ball all the time, or feels he does.

He's a quicker, weaker version of Brandon, and has a similar ego. He has never been a good fit unless he replaces Brandon or Rudy, which would be ridiculous.

And completely true. Very few people would argue about that, unless of course they really don't know what they're talking about. I argued with people like you about Rudy being a great prospect. You would have laughed at me then too, so you laughing now means nothing to me. I was right about Rudy. I was right about Batum. I was right about Sergio. And I'm going to be right about Rubio as well.

He's the best PG prospect since Magic.
