lol @ these old threads getting pulled up outta nowhere anyway, it's obvious who i'll pick i've been saying billiups is THE best point guard in the league since last year, and the reason i say this is because he plays D, he's a good passer, he can score, and he's clutch in big games. that equals never being a liability on the court.......sure kidd is good and all but i'd take billups over any pg in the league

Yeah I agree. Billups has no weaknesses. Kidd lacks in shooting. While they are close I thinks Billups' shooting is the difference. 43.4% from 3's is impressive.

Yeah Billups and Nash are clearly better offensively in terms of shooting the ball as well as their percentages from distance, but I thikn its closer than most realize. Kidd has improved his shooting alot and hits his fair share of threes..

I am actually gonna go with Chauncey Billuips. Pound for pound, the best PG in the game. He isn't the passer that Kidd is, but is a FAR better scorer, and can also get those assists. He can run a team well, and is a proven leader. Also, Chauncey is the best defending PG in the league. If this was 2-4 years ago, it would be Kidd, but he has aged, and he hasn't quite been his old self the past 2 seasons.

^^^I actually think Kidd is the better defender then Billups even at his age.

Billups was 2nd team all-defensive last year, and is the ying in the backourt to Ben Wallace's yang in the frontcourt. Kidd is also an amazing defending PG, but I feel Billups is better since he is more moble and athletic, and is just as smart as Kidd on D.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Dagameplayer @ Feb 17 2006, 04:04 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Jason Kidd. I believe if Jason Kidd and Chancy switched teams Detriot wouldnt lose one game. Not one game. You heard me say it, Why do I think this? Because Jason Kidd can run a offense better then Chancy can thats why. Don't get me wrong Chancy is a really good player but imo he's no Jason Kidd(Who imo is still the best PG in the league).</div>Are you kidding me? Chauncy is what makes Detroit Detroit. With JKidd they would have no chemistry and Chauncy can hit the big shots and make the clutch free throws. I will say Chauncy is better.

I would say Kidd, he has way more experience, is definetely a better passer and just fits the point guard spot more well.

Jason KiddThe thing is, everyone on the Pistons can create their own scoring chances. Billups is not a huge factor to that while Jason could probiliy get Ben into the scoring because of his excellent passing rather than just posting him up. Also, Jason defense would be another key factor on this team.If Pistons had Jason, it would be like a dream in Detriot. :shifty2:

Jason Kidd because the fact he can work with any players. Chauncey Billups was on many teams before coming to Detroit. Suddenly because they're the best team everyone is considering him the MVP, when the truth is the Detroit Pistons would still be a solid 50 win team without him. Look at the roster, Rip Hamilton, Rasheed Wallace, Ben Wallace, Tayshaun Prince, and all the bench players like Antonio Mcydyss or something, Dale Davis, Linsdy Hunter... They wouldn't even have gotten this far if it wasn't for Rasheed Wallace and Ben Wallace's defense. Jason Kidd could work with Kenyon Martin and now he works well with Vince Carter. Kidd is a true leader. Whereas on the Pistons roster there are so many star players they don't really even need a leader.
