I believe it would be a excellent move if the lakers could get Derick Fisher, Kareem Rush and/or Robert Horry back. The Lakers would have a better chance at getting Fisher then they would Horry though cause Horry is doing quite well over in San Antonio but I still think it would be good for him so that he can return to a starting line up The reason I say it might be a lot eaiser to get Fisher back is because he's on a team thats looks like they are not going to make the playoffs despite him putting up pretty good numbers. I believe the lakers made a big mistake giving this guy up seeing as he made many key baskets in all of the NBA finals they were in during the championship days as did Robert Horry as well. Replacing these two for Malone/Payton was a mistake that was proven when the lakers were beaten by Detroit in 2004 finals. I know for a fact that there is no chance of the lakers wanting such players as Eddie Jones, Nick Van Exel back because of the problems they had with the laker management when they were on the team which is why LA declined when Miami suggested putting Eddie Jones in the Shaq deal last year. What do you think?
I think your dumb. Horry will probably finish his career with the Spurs. He's on the tailend of it, and he resigned with him this past year for a reason. And why would Spurs trade him, when they know he's key for the playoffs?Fisher is overrated, and if Lakers want him, they probably could have him as Warriors fans are tired of him. He's not much different then Smush, whose younger. And I'm betting they would love to be ridden of his contract. And to your answer your question, no. What's the point of going back to guys from the past? Move on.
Once Horry retired i want him to return as an assistant coach. However we don't need him to play. Were not going far in the playoffs so there's no use for him.
Horry's career is like over. I think he just wants rings. And Fisher isn't really that good so why would they want him back?
I think that if the Lakers were to try and get Horry and Fisher back, they would be making a huge mistake. Smush has already proved that he can reach his potential, he just needs more time to turn into the pg that Kobe needs beside him. Odom is great in LA, he has already learned how to play with Kobe as the main scorer and I think the Lakers have three of their main guys already set.
Horry's career is in it's tail end, and Derek Fisher isn't getting any better himself. If you could get Fisher, fine, but the Lakers don't need to put it at the top of their agenda
What's the deal with calling me dumb Rok? I was just asking. If you don't think it should happen say so but that was just uncalled for. Anyway I see what you guys meant about Horry. Maybe he is done but as for Fish I think that would be a good idea because maybe just maybe a verteran point guard like Fisher may be just the guy Smush need's to show him a thing or two about taking his NBA career to the next level. I agree Fisher was never a NBA Superstar and yes he's never been in any All star games but when he was with the LA Lakers from 2000-2003(Before Malone and Payton came in) he was in the starting line up and he always made big clutch shots to help LA in the playoffs. IMO Fisher should return.
It's dumb because you didn't think through this with logical explanations. Why would Spurs give up Horry? And you overrate Fisher. He wouldn't help the Lakers at pg as much as you think.
How many years have you been watching the NBA or paying attention to it Roc? Derick Fisher has always been a big part of the LA Lakers team. Even when Nick Van Exel or Payton was there he still had alot of playing time. How about that big shot he made on San Anotnio with 4 seconds to go to give the Lakers that big win in a playoff game 2 seasons ago? Yes it was luck but it wasnt 100% luck because Fisher is a good enough player to that. Yes that was his only winning basket he ever took but Fisher always made big Baskets for the Lakers. I know one thing Kobe Bryant would love to see Fisher back in a LA Uniform because they always worked well together.
Well, not Horry. He will retire in San Antonio but LA should try get Fisher back. He is underrated because he isn't taking a lot of the load in Golden State, so if he goes to the Lakers, he would be worth something.Plus the Lakers are in NEED of a real point guard. SMush Parker is more of a SG.Kurt Cobain 39th Birthday-February 20th
you need a pg but not Fish. He is getting older and he isnt that good, average at everything pg wise but he isnt that good at anything.
Are you kidding? Fisher recently scored 21 points in a game. Yes he's getting older but arent we all? I agree with Sid though about Smush. He is more of a Shooting guard.

You mention his past, when he had the luxury of having guys like Kobe and Shaq on the team. When those two demand the attention they do, I think your gonna be open a lot. I would say it's luck, because it's a catch and release. He just threw it up there. It went in. He's not gonna do anything more then what Smush is doing. What's the point? Go ahead and take his bad contract. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Plus the Lakers are in NEED of a real point guard.
