Not for Randolph or Wright, but maybe package deal for Maggette...

I'd like to get felton but only if it can be part of a bigger deal where we would get Wallace or Okafor (although nellie probably wouldn't play Okafor anyway) and give up at least one of Mags, Jax, or Crawford.

Giving up both Wright and Randolph would be incredibly bad, but then this franchise seems like it got whacked upside the head with the Stupid Stick sometime during this last year, so nothing would surprise me. I wouldn't give up either without also unloading a bad contract either. It's pretty obvious to me that Brandan Wright's days in Golden State are numbered, and he will be included in a contract-dumping trade. Unfortunate, but it is going to happen because he's not getting a fair shot here and Nellie obviously just doesn't like him (7 minutes last night is another bad sign). It won't surprise me to see Wright starting on some team in a year.

Hopefully they hold on to Randolph. I think they will because he is a more versatile player that can do some things Nellie likes. Felton is OK but it's just another "meh" to me. He's not going to appreciably improve this team IMO. I think GS management is just throwing darts blindfolded at this point.

I think this story is bogus...I hope it is. We need another guard like we all need an enema after lunch.

I loved Felton back at UNC. He is my favorite college player.

But, I wouldn't want to give up Randolph or Wright.

Yeah, it would be plain stupid for GS to give up either Randolph or Wright for a potential RFA rental in Felton. The fact that this writer believes it plausible to give up BOTH Randolph and Wright for Felton is a laugher. But if there's a way to do a package deal to get rid of Maggette's lame-a$$, and get back a good deal in return, then there's room for discussion...

Stupid. Even if Felton somehow turned into Jamaal Tinsley (outermost potentially) you do not trade a young big for that. Great another gunner. Why not go all out and get Ricky Davis and Zach Randolph while you're at it? That way you would know for sure that everytime the ball got over half court you knew it was max 1 pass and you could plan your activities for the night accordingly.

What will we do with him when Ellis gets back? Someone will have to be on the bench...

Nice highlight reel, but we all know that highlight reels are, by definition, all good. We're seeing none of the negatives. Watching the vid, you'd think he makes 100% of his shots, but in reality he is another volume-shooting chucker, a 40% FG, 30% 3FG guy, which is not good and exactly what the Warriors do not need. It does look like he knows how to run a break better than anyone we have now, but again, I'm sure there's a lot of bad we're not seeing in the video. I'm not sold, and I don't think he's worth Wright or Randolph. Wright only if you can dump some serious bad contract on Charlotte at the same time, which isn't likely.

I just put the video on there for information; I'm not trying to sell the guy. He does look like he can run the break, but he's shooting below 40% FG on the year, and well all know that's bad... that's Stephen Jackson bad, which is flat out ugly. Actually, he's CAREER below 39% FG shooter, which is just horrendous. He's a chucker.

The reason why I like this rumor is because it links GS to potential trade talks, which right now I think is desperately needed. If there's a way to use Felton (who is a RFA this coming off-season, just as good as an expiring contract) in part of a package deal to dump Corey Maggette's goofy a$$, that would awesome IMO. If Felton doesn't pan out we just let him walk and get some cap relief.

I think Randolph and Wright could be Larry Brown-like players. Who else on the Warriors would be Larry Brown players? CJ Watson?

I don't think they want anything to do with Crawford, Jackson, or Maggette.

    Sold!

Yeah, I don't know like Felton's time in the nba so far... He's like a way worse shooter than Baron ever was and I didn't know that was possible.

Mags and Azu have been starting to annoy me lately... It's really about their shot selection. I figure with Wallace, you get a Defensive Player of the Year type of player and you get pure point guard that's not Marcus Williams.

But... the more I think about it this is just giving Nelson the tools to play his tired ass game again of...

    pg: Felton (=Baron)
    sg: Monta
    sf: Sjax
    pf: Gerald Wallace (=Barnes)
    c: Biedrins...

Sigh... You know Nelson ain't going to play any of our power forwards unless he's a swingman or an outside shooting forward that can't rebound.

Felton may not be a very good shooter, but he's a better shooter than Baron. What he's not as good as is passing and creating for other members of the team as Davis. Still, Felton is decent in making assists (13th in the league), gets points-rebounds-assists (89th in the league; Mo Williams is 84th), and isn't that bad with assists to turnover ratio at 2.5. For the money, he's a nice player to have at PG. Certainly better than anyone we have now. What Felton will do is solidify our backcourt, so that a few players will be made available to trade.

I don't see that....Charlotte can get more than a terrible contract...a new terrible contract! They can get a package of expiring contracts, young players and draft picks from other teams. Why would a rebuilding Bobcats want to take on another bad contract? theyalready have Diaw's...they need cap space and draft picks

Yeah, I heard that. Mullin made a mistake in giving up a first round pick for Marcus Williams and it's coming back to haunt the Warriors. Nelson needs to play Williams and get his trade value up again, so he's worth a first round draft pick, and then we can trade it to you.
