As I stated, my main reasoning for Roy above CP was head to head. Roy looks much better when we play NO than CP does when he plays against us. He is a GREAT, GREAT player, but just doesn't do much against us :)
Roy is just becoming the guy who can do the things Kobe can do in the clutch and I just think that is one of the highest attributes to obtain. He has been simply amazing this year. And my ranking were based on this year.

You can't compare how good players are just based off of head to head match-ups.

You basically said Joe Johnson was worse than Roy because of a sequence that lasted 24 seconds. I'm not disagreeing that Roy is better, but that's some faulty logic right there.

First of all, it was the whole quarter that Roy took over.
Second, JJ and Roy are SO close in ranking, I used that as my tiebreaker..its my world.

Ok, 12 minutes. Still faulty logic.

For a guy who isn't known just for scoring, Roy is 10th in the league in PPG. He's also 10th in PER. He's the undisputed leader of his team - a team with the 9th best record in the league. He plays his best in the 4th quarter when the game is on the line. If he's not a top 10 player, he's damn close.

Hmm... Roy as a top ten player. Let's see who I'd put above him...

    1.) Lebron James
    2.) Kobe Bryant
    3.) Dwayne Wade
    4.) Kevin Garnett
    5.) Dirk Nowitzki
    6.) Steve Nash
    7.) Chris Paul
    8.) Amare Stoudamire

After that, it starts to get a little tougher. Tony Parker and Tim Duncan are arguably better than Brandon Roy, but the San Antonio system is a different animal. Deron Williams could be too, but he's still getting back into his groove this season. Paul Pierce is even a possibility, or Carmelo Anthony, though neither of them takes on all the responsibility that Roy does these days.

Toughie. If Roy isn't a Top 10 player, I'd agree that he's darn close.

I would say Dirk looks like a top ten player but I wouldn't trade Roy for him in a million years. The rest of those guys at the same age, sure except maybe Amare if he is as big of a headcase as he seems to be. Then maybe not.
