I watched Brandon crushing Pac-10 basketball for the Huskies. It was soo cool when Portland drafted a star NW player. His overall game, leadership, shot creation and clutch moments was incredible in NCAA, and he instantly made the Blazers better.
My favorite line: "Brian Scalabrine, Celtics: Has Michael Jordan's brain type and Bill Parcells' body type."
Yeah I brought it up a few months ago, was an argument for trading Scoot now. Back then we first got that Boston pick for Telfair, then another trade on draft night where we sent out the Boston pick for Roy.
We traded Telfair after 2 years, while he was still young enough for people to bank on his "potential". If Scoot doesn't really improve next year, that's something we'll have to think about. Especially given that we have Simons.
No, but Simons is a LOT better than Scoot right now. If we could get a high lotto pick for Scoot and fill another position of need, and let Simons be the PG of the future, that would be a win, especially if Scoot never develops like Telfair didn't. And @wizenheimer comes in to post Simons defensive metrics in 5,4,3,2...
