Did anyone else notice how much Nate kept to using the starters more this last game. Of course Brandon was hot, but it was really nice to see that Nate pulled out the guys that botched some shit up, Like Sergio's failed layup, and Ike's failed layup, although Ike did have some nice hustle rebounds.

I just like seeing our starters and 2 main's off the bench really only being the ones getting PT. It makes for a good rhythm, at least in this game it seemed.

Somehow I can stop thinking, that eventually J.B is going to be coming in ahead of Sergio, if he continues to be unable to finish at the rim...

I think if Nate went with our bench more last night, we would've lost. So yeah, I think it was a great decision to use our starters extensively since our bench didn't really bring it last night.

However, if Nate does this all the time, our starters may wear down by the 2nd half of the season or in the playoffs. And our starting unit may become fatigued and not be as effective if they had to play around 40 minutes a game. So I'm hesitant to say that I would want to see this type of rotation every game night, though if our bench is playing horribly, I wouldn't mind if Nate played our starters extensive minutes every once in a while.

I am sick and tired of Nate going to his "White Unit".. its total nonsense. I know depth is supposed to be an advantage for us .. but no other Elite NBA team goes 5 subs in at a time.

There is no reason we should not have one of Roy or LMA on the floor at all times.

Nate has to get this figured out... I suspect it will take a mandate from KP to get it done.

Well if he wanted to use a true white unit, he'd have to play Shavlik!!!!!!!!!!

Bayless will leapfrog Sergio to become the starter, he won't replace him. Sergio will stay with the white unit and Blake will either move to another team or become our third PG.

    Please, make it so.

If Blake keeps doing what he did last night, though...it'll be tough.

I personally don't think he has it in his. Hope I'm wrong, or Maxie's prediction comes true.

If we have enough blow outs like against the Kings where the starters only play 3 quarters that should make up for games like last nite when they play so many mins.

I'd be happy with Bayless becoming the backup PG. Since Sergio isn't the starter leapfrogging him won't make Bayless the starter. I kind of like Blake and think he'll be perfect to tutor Bayless.

The 8-Man rotation is pretty standard.

    Blake
    Roy
    Batum
    LMA
    Oden

    Rudy (Guard Spots)
    Outlaw (Forward Spots)
    Pryzbilla (Center)

What kind of messes this up is that Batum doesn't really get starter's minutes and Blake is replaced with Sergio quite a bit. Not to mention the use of Diogu/Frye. Or what happens when Webster comes back. Our starters play less than other teams. Look at the Pistons of the last few years. Every starter pretty much played 35-40 minutes a night. It's easy to fill in the 8-13 extra minutes with a good combo guard, combo forward, or PF/C. And that's all that is really needed on a good, healthy team that plays "Starters Minutes".
