Brandon Roy... theres not enough praise that could do him justice. All i can say is.. it was an insult to hear someone say top shooting guards and hear Manu Flopobli and Joe Johnson in the same sentence with Brandon Roy. i wouldn't take either of those 2 guys EVER over roy. Its not close. Johnsons not a winner and Manu is more of a third type option. Could never lead a team. Anyway on to the game. Amazing win...yes but again it took 122 points and a 50 point brilliant performance to win. WHY? Cause our defense is regressing each game. We have never been able to stop guys from hitting corner threes. Maybe that explains why we make Matt freakin Barnes look like an all star. Hes not infact hes an average bench player who should never almost beat us. This is the a typical recurring problem for the blazers. Its the same reason we lost to the magic. We cant defend the three to save our lives. Scratch that...we cant defend to save our lives. What a miserable performance. Same reason we lost to teh lowly clippers. NO DEFENSE. The kings just sucked and were tired. To be fair... the refs killed us tonight by sending the suns to the line every 5 seconds. Anyhow it was a fun game that we badly needed. Maybe we can finally beat the pacers next? They have owned us the last few years if im not mistaken. Last... perhaps its time KP realized SF needs an upgrade. Batum can simply not have zero points on a regular basis if we wanna make the playoffs. Who knows when Martell will be healthy. And even though outlaw played a decent game once this season... SF is a huge issue. You all know it and so does the league. In closing, I felt like these next 4 (including tonight) would really show how likely it is for us to be playing in late april. Good start but the real test is Mon and Tues. Dallas also is a monster game since thats the team we have to past for the 8th seed. you are kidding yourselves if you think the suns or spurs aren't making the playoffs.
Everything else was negative...you sir are an artist at twisting the things the way you want to see them
The men in the moon looked out of the moon looked out of the moon... and said maybe it's time for Mixum, to stop peeing in our bed.
Joe has been doing pretty well, though playing through a foot injury certainly has taken his game down a notch. Manu is coming back from the ankle twist but I'd guess he'll be back to his awesome usual self before the season is out. Heck, when he's healthy Kevin Martin can play a little too. Good thing for us Blazer fans that Brandon is impervious to injury... STOMP
Actually I think Joe Johnson and Roy are very comparable. I've often thought they had similar games, and even their stats are nearly identical. Roy: PPG 23.4 RPG 4.6 APG 5.2 SPG 1.0 BPG 0.4 FG% 0.471 FT% 0.848 3P% 0.364 MPG 37.1 Johnson: PPG 23.0 RPG 4.5 APG 5.3 SPG 1.2 BPG 0.5 FG% 0.462 FT% 0.826 3P% 0.367 MPG 39.6 I mean, it really doesn't get much closer than that.
Joe Johnson is a bit older than Roy, so I'd argue Roy could become better than Johnson, but he is pretty darn similar to Roy- both have good all around games, can play some point and have decent to good defense.
Do we have an ignore feature here? These threads are pathetic, and would rather not see them pop up any longer.
