Hah! "Hey, uh... is it alright if I score about 30 a game? I don't want to be selfish or anything, but I think we could get more out of our offense if I take it to the rim, and you know, get more free throws. I mean, it's totally up to you guys."

Wow.... I love Brandon Roy even more. The guy represents everything that we want in a franchise player in Portland. M-V-P!! M-V-P!!
seriously..is there a better guy in the nba? total package. roys personality makes him much more likeable hen kobe or lebron ever dreamed of. No arrogance, not smug, not a punk, not flashy...just a good guy whos good at basketball. love this guy
I wonder if this type of publicity will help his all-star votes. For a long while now the game announcers have been raving about Roy and his game. Despite a constant stream of compliments it didn't amount to many votes for Roy.
Here's an interesting stat. Brandon Roy's shot blocking over the last five games (in which he's averaging ridiculous offensive production): PHX: 1 SAC: 1 LAC: 2 UTA: 1 ORL: 2 Total: 7 Previous 19 games combined: 1 Entire season before last five games: 3 Where did that come from? I knew he could block them, but was he just going through a bad string or has that D just improved with his O?
Whoa . . . I can't find any negativity in that post. Can anyone currently in Hell check and see if it's snowing outside?
God bless Brandon Roy. Portland fans should feel so, so, so fortunate and grateful that we have someone like him on our team. I mean just look at some of the names that went before him: Tyrus Thomas (lol), Sheldon Williams (even more lol), and Adam Morrison (the most lol). Speaking of Morrison, anyone remember Canzano's column before draft day saying we should draft the 'stache? My god...where the Blazers be today if we did draft him? I shiver at the thought.
A small thing that I notice about Roy but absolutely think is so telling about him? He always says "Coach". Not "Phil", not "Doc", not "Pop", but "Coach". So freaking humble and willing to listen. Max him out immediately after the season and don't think twice.
People who don't have "customs"? Never heard of such a thing. You mean there are people out there who don't observe holidays, eat local foods, or say, "Good morning"? Amazing.
And this show is so popular around here that everyone knows what "PTI" stands for?? I guess I'm out of the loop. I don't understand half the abbreviations on this board.
It used to be one of the most popular sports shows a few years ago. I don't know if it still is, but it's become pretty well-known among sports fans. But not something that everybody should be assumed to know. Especially if you don't watch ESPN's commentary/analysis shows a lot.
