http://www.nba.com/warriors/news/warriors_waive_richard_hendrix.html I'm pretty disappointed. I thought waiving Marcus Williams was a bad idea only because he has some trade value and we traded a conditional 1st rounder for him. But, there was Kurz, D Nelson, and even CJ Watson that I thought could be cut instead of Hendrix, our draft pick...
Awesome move Rowell/Mullin/Nellie. Because doesn't sound at all like something the Warriors need. Especially since we have so many more valuable players who are helping us win games. Great job getting rid of this garbage, no need to wait longer.
Wow. How is this possible? They just drafted the guy, and now give up on him without ever playing him, and just a few months after drafting him? Why blow the pick, then? It's not like he's shown he's a bust... first, his numbers are great in DLeague, and second it's TOO EARLY TO GIVE UP! This just tells me that, when they made the pick, they really didn't give a sh!t who they drafted. This move tells me they put NO THOUGHT into that draft pick over the summer. How stupid can you be, Rowell?
This does sound bad, but you have to remember it's the D-league. OTOH in terms of potential, we just cut Paul Milsap.
For a team that is HORRIBLE at rebounding, they just decided to cut one of the best (potentially) rebounder on the team, next to Andris Biedrins. Why? I have no idea. I guess management couldn't swallow their pride and say that the Marcus Williams trade was a mistake, and cut him.
I thought this would have been a good move for Hendrix's sake, because it ain't like he's going to get any playing time under Nelson as an undersized power forward with no swingman skills. I blame this combined Nelly/Rowell cluster f of an organization for letting a big with so much solidness get away. Also this guy was chosen over Kurz. Ug...
It's kind of weird that nobody has picked up Hendrix yet. He's currently not playing anywhere in the D-League. I wonder what his plans are now. Maybe he's trying to get on a team in Europe or something. That's kind of a bummer for him. I thought for sure he would still be around playing for Bakersfield. But that doesn't look to be the case.
