    Haha, I'm watching the Clippers/Pacers game right now. A fan behind the pacers bench just yelled some obscenity and the ref thought it came from one of the Pacers players and T'd him up! A free throw for the Clippers! :biglaugh:

    That's horrible, you would think that refs would be able to tell the difference by now. It's not like there aren't fans behind the benches yelling stuff every night.

    Yet another example of why the technical foul should be abolished.

    I don't care if the player takes his penis out and slaps the ref in the face with it! The league can level a fine *tomorrow*. DON'T interupt the flow of the game!

    Though I don't see it in the rules, I do believe that the refs can indeed call a technical against a team for the behavior of a fan or fans.

    No, but refs have the power the kick fans out of a game. I saw it happen at a Sonics' game once. Security will immediately come and escort them out.
