Wade and Bryant both played great for their teams... im disappointed at how our team played overall... especially in the FT shooting dept. and Defense. A team way undersized, went up against Bynum and Pau and had 6 blocked shots to our.... 1... Wow... WTF Bynum? Wanna stay til the end? Play like it! We had no business letting the Heat play us like that... then again... The Lakers have lost their spark... Orlando, NO will surely be a tough test. Boston is in a league of their own. We will get blown away on Christmas day... Sadly
Thanks! But i simply voiced out the truth... However... I have to question one thing... Kobe's look after he missed that last shot... He was actually smiling... I think his mentality is "Aryt, i missed it... No big deal"... Thats not how a championship team... or a Champion thinks.
yeah that was funny Phil Jackson appears to be an idiot this season, and I never thought I'd say that about Phil Jackson. I mean seriously why the fuck was Odom even on the court in the 4th period???? He can't spread the floor, because he can't knock down the open 3 and he played like total shit last night. He was so bad that after LO clanked 2 FTs, Phil gave him that "this guy can't possibly be this damn pathetic" look. Bynum or even Radmanovic would've been a better choice. Leaving Kobe on the bench for an extended amount of time didn't help things much either. Yeah the lakers bigs have to play like "bigs." Didn't they end up getting outrebounded???? I thought the Lakers would win last night primarily, because of their size upfront. Gotta give props to Haslem, Marion, and that other guy (forgot his name) for causing havoc. The fronting of the bigs seemed to give the lakers problems, and lead to a lot of turnovers.... Wade vs. Kobe was fun as hell...........made it worth it to stay home on a Friday night for some round ball.....
As non insulting as I can be...You guys sound like idiots when you bash Phil. Once again...its a process of building the team up to peak in June. If that costs us regular season losses then oh well. BUT, IMO last night had nothing to do with Phil. Trying to blame him is beyond me. You guys did notice Phil wasnt the one with stupid turnovers, it was the players. You noticed it was Phil who only put up 80 or so points in a game, it was the players. The PLAYERS sucked ass last night. But it no big deal...this loss will be like those back to back losses to shitty teams last year...yeah, remember that??? Was it Memphis and who else? Two weeks before the playoffs and let that happen...lets keep everything in perspective instead of taking cheap shots at HOF coaches
This hasn't been going on once or twice, this has been happening for pretty much an entire month. An entire month of crappy, disinterested basketball is not acceptable. Even the three-peat championship teams had never experienced such a long stretch of disinterested play. It's up to the coach to keep the team focused and ready to play every game, and so far that hasn't happened, for a month. When was the last time this team actually tried out there? Now, obviously this isn't 100% Phil's fault, but to say he doesn't deserve any criticism is absolutely false. I don't care how many championships he has won in the past, we're living in the future. And as far as I'm concerned, he deserves criticism as much as anybody else in this organization if he's not doing his job. Jerry West, arguably one of, if not the best General Manager in NBA history has had his share of mistakes, and criticisms as well. And cheap shots at Phil? Where am I taking cheap shots at Phil? The lineup out there yesterday was flat out absurd, and you don't even have to be a Laker fan to realize that (The Dream). And once again, nowhere am I saying I'm giving up on this team. We have enough talent on this roster to win a championship. I'm not bashing the quality of this team, I'm bashing the effort.
no one is trying to completely blame him for losing the game, but he made some bad decisions last night like a.) sitting kobe too long in the 4th b.) sticking with odom c.) getting a tech late in the game...although it didn't end up hurting them When you're serious about winning a title and wanting home court in every round, you have to go out and win every game. To hell with "he's testing them for later on down the road...", lol......These games could matter if June rolls around and the lakers have to start out (or end) a series in Boston or Cleveland.
