Personal attacks are censored, not sides of a debate. If you think any of us moderators are being unfair, you're always free to go over our heads to the Administration and file a grievance. Personally, I don't think we're biased and there are lots and lots of perspectives I disagree highly with (including the comment by Drink Your Milkshake that offends you), but I don't edit them out. Nor do I see barfo or Ed do it to perspectives they disagree with. You, of course, are free to keep your own counsel and, as I said, go up the ladder if you're dissatisfied with the way we do things. You are also free to PM any of us, if you'd like to discuss something specific.

That's nonsense, and you know it. Altering someone's post and then reproducing it in your own post, in its new, altered form, is tampering with someone else's words. I don't care if the original post still exists, it's a violation of the poster's right to express his opinion in his own way. If a person disagrees with a post, he can simply say that. He doesn't need to change the statement to make it read the way he wants it to.

No, I don't agree. The original being unaltered is the crux, as far as I'm concerned. People can see the original right there in the same thread, so there's no question of whether someone is being misrepresented.

Disrespectful is entirely a matter of preferences. I don't find it disrespectful. But, as I said, the reality is that it is not against the rules, so it won't be moderated out. If you'd like it made against the rules, that would be an issue to bring up with Administration (the users who's names are in blue). Until it is against the rules, your choices on the site boil down to accepting it or ignoring the users who violate your sense of respectful behaviour.

To avoid diverting this thread further, please direct further discussion about this to PMs...either to me, or whomever you'd like to talk to about it.

"Martha! Round up the kids and fetch the wagon. We're a migrating back to BBF. Too much riff-raff around these parts!"

"But Pa....didn't we move here for greater freedom from censorship?"

"Aw, shut up and git in the wagon...."

Your endless repetition of the same damn comment is so completely old and boring. I heard you the first 15 times.

You and Shooter just need to understand the site rules - you know - read and comprehend - and either accept them or move on.

Too often both of your silly and repetitious points hijack otherwise worthwhile threads with this bullshit. It is vandalism. Stop it.

Repitition is Boring, boring boring boring boring boring boring boring boring

I want to be clear. Shooter and PapaG, I want to read your posts, your thoughts and opinions about BASKETBALL. Let's have a lively exchange of conflicting ideas on that subject. Thank you.

Doesn't bother me one bit. I have no emotional reaction to it - At all.

    Really.

The format and LONGSTANDING custom of internet forums is to use the quote feature in various ways. Since the original unedited post is still readily accessible, altering a quote doesn't mean the same thing it does in other environments. Change your perception.

Oden looked a lot quicker in this game, he just had an extra hop to his step. Some of those fouls were rookie mistakes, but he's definitely getting his athleticism back.

You guys are ridiciulous. The reason I never post on here is all the damn bickering like two year olds. This thread is done.

I missed this game- it was supposed to be tivoed, but...

I do think it's a matter of time before Oden gets his athleticism back.

This is my first time reading this thread, and I was prepared to come in here and talk about Greg Oden. Apparently that's not what this thread is about, so I'm out!

No one is forcing you to be subjected to the rules that we all have to abide by in participating here. If it's too much for you to stomach, why don't you go start your own site? You can have the rules be just how they should be rather then embarrassing yourself with this whining BS over how they are to our mods... you do know that our mods neither made the rules or can change them right?

Of course I didn't (and can't) edit anyone's post. Hopefully you'll take the point I made to heart and stop your endless sniping at our unpaid mods who are just trying to do their job enforcing the rules that apply to all of us. Thanks :)
