    ESPN says:
Does it concern anyone else that availability is changing on a week by week basis?

Also, if we trade away Gooden, then without another deal for an expiring, we can kiss any chance of re-signing Gordon goodbye.

    The article suggests too:
How about a trade that principally revolves around Hughes (SG), and Nocioni (shooter) for Stackhouse (expiring contract) and Dampier (non guaranteed in 2010)?

    1- Rose, Hinrich
    2- Gordon
    3- Deng, Thabo
    4- Gooden, Tyrus
    5- Dampier, Noah, Gray

Helps solve a few problems. We get better up front (by getting a solid veteran center, if not a great one), open up 2010 cap space (by moving Noc), and end the opportunity for a cancerous outburst from Hughes.

As long as you Pax doesn't turn around and dump the money into a big deal for BG, it sounds good to me.

I think I'd be upset up this update if I thought the rumor was true. This feels like the same type of game by game trade analysis that argued last month that nobody would touch Hinrich because he has an injury that's going to take a couple of months to return from -- it makes good copy (if that) but isn't attached to reality.

Indeed... I've variously heard completely opposite stuff almost every week. I guess we'll find out which set of stuff is true if they ever make a trade.

Sorry, that was a weak attempt to pre-empt the inevitable "Then we'd have the money to match any OKC max offer" comment.
