Everyone has a playbook. Even Tim Floyd, apparently. OK, I guess Skiles didn't. But almost everyone. Skiles would get along with Marty Shottenheimer pretty well. It came out in DC that Marty's offense didn't have audibles... it only had "the audible". Tony Banks didn't like what he saw (how could he not?) he was able to switch to a specific play... all season long. Really. I know this doesn't have anything to do with the game, but... I'm drinking.
I've been listening to Boers and Bernstein on the web lately. They've taken to calling Aaron Gray the "White Panther." Just thought I'd share.
They played Charlotte, was Bell or Felton guarding him? If it was Felton it's not surprising. Doesn't sound like anybody was playing much defense because Bell and Felton only had 2 and 4 fouls, but Charlotte's big's all had 4 or 5. Getting 5 assists as a point guard in 45 minutes isn't very good.
Has Derrick Rose made Ben Gordon jealous with his driving and made Ben attack the rim more aggressively?
Bulls 2nd stringers (and Gordon) are hanging tough. Utah had a chance to get a big lead, but a 3pt miss by Okur and a 3pt make by Gordon kept it within 2. That against Utah's starting 5.
When a guy scores 50, nobody was able to guard him. When a guy shoots 18 FTA, you're going to see the other team have to play mismatches due to their main guys being in foul trouble. But you led me to believe Augustin was playing PF or C since those guys got all the fouls
I think this is a win. We beat Utah at Utah, and we've lost just 3 at home. And... Gray's done for the night.
I'm the eternal pessemist I guess. This is the sort of game good teams sneak up and grab on the road.
Shorthanded, VDN is still managing to rest Gordon and Rose. If Rose plays the rest of the way, he'll have 33 minutes played. Gordon would have 35.
