Frye, Outlaw and Ike for Camby and Novak

Throw in a 1st and 2nd round pick too for LA.

    Blake\Sergio\Bayless
    Roy\Rudy
    Batum\Webster
    LMA\Camby\Novak
    Oden\Joel

I like this. If it doesn't work out... Camby comes off the books in 2010 and we have a ton ass more money to spend that year along with this coming off season. It gives us another really good Center as well when Oden gets in foul trouble. I don't think the Clippers would do this, but they should :)

    Davis\Hart
    Gordon\Roach
    Thornton\Outlaw
    Zach\Frye\Ike
    Kaman\Collins\Jordan

That is not a bad roster. Gives them more minutes for Thornton and they like him. Also gives them 1 solid back up 3 and a sometimes solid backup 4 in Frye. Frye is sucking ass right now but sometimes trades make players shape they asses up.

I am bored, thinking trades. Have fun with this one Ed.

Camby is the last guy I want in Portland. He's overrated

I'd rather save Outlaw either as a chip in a trade for a better player or just to keep as a part of the team. Camby is not of a lot of interest to me. I agree with JFizzle about Camby being overrated. He plsys very disinterested man defense and largely only puts in effort when he sees a chance for a blocked shot. He's easily the most overrated defensive player of my lifetime.

Two seasons ago, when Camby won Defensive Player of the Year, he averaged 11.2 ppg, 11.7 rpg. and 3.3 blocks a game and had a few triple doubles. You'd two would be THRILLED if Oden did that over a season but Camby is overrated? Please. The last person you'd want on the team? So you'd rather have Rasho Nesterovic?

Oh, and lest there be confusion, I would not make the deal. We are already set at C and I don't want to lose Outlaw.

you keep ignoring what we say. He is a horrible man defender, he only looks for weakside blocks which is why his blocks are usually high. Greg and Joel can play good man defense.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
First of all, I said he's overrated as a defender. I'd be extremely unhappy if Oden played defense like Camby did.

Second of all, sure I'd be thrilled if Oden, as an out-of-shape rookie, equaled some of Camby's best production. If that was one of Oden's prime seasons? I'd be very, very, very disappointed.

Finally, Camby's scoring has been pretty inefficient. Yes, he's gotten teams 10-11 PPG during his career (which is not that impressive) but he's been inefficient, which is why most people don't consider him an asset on offense. He's not Ben Wallace bad, but he's not a big benefit on offense (though he does pass well).

His rebounding, however, is legitimate. He's a great, great rebounder. However, the team has plenty of rebounding. I think Outlaw's scoring punch off the bench is more valuable. Plus Outlaw is younger, so can be a part of the team longer (if he's not traded).

Hmm.. I wouldn't want Camby to be a starter for my team, but if you could rotate a front line of Oden/LMA/Joel/Camby.... wow. He'd be a great backup to have. Of course he has flaws, but for a backup, that'd be a nice luxury to have.

Giving up Outlaw would hurt though..

Camby is a monster, at Center, not so much at PF.

Far better than Oden will be this season, but so what.

It's not about now, it's about later.

Outlaw will be our Robert Horry of the future, hopefully even better offensively. I'm not ready to deal him yet.

unfortunately you would have to at least give up Outlaw to get Camby, cuz another team would make a more appealing deal otherwise

If Marcus Camby was willing to come off the bench... well, hell... I guess I would, too. I mean, hey, who am I to complain, anyways? I'd be happy with just to BEING on the bench, "stealing" an NBA paycheck!

Why do we need a 3rd sting center? Both Oden and Joel are better than Camby today. They are bother better rebounders, better man-to-man-defenders and more efficient scorers. They are both younger (Joel by 5 years, Oden by 14) and more affordable than Camby. Do we really need a 3rd string center that makes $8 million this season and $7.65 million next season?

With two, solid 7-footers, we are set at center. It is one of our strongest spots in the rotation. Why would KP even look at adding another center to the mix? Especially when Aldridge or Frye can give us spot minutes at back-up center in a pinch.

I would not. Partially because I'm not on the team.

    Why not both?

It’s borderline silly, fringing on humorous, and hardly logical.
