Wade got his best teammate back, the guy that helped him get the championship. No, not Shaq, the Ref. Typical BS Wade bailout call. Nothing new here. I'm more shocked he stopped getting them last year.
That's a tough call, and a lazy ref probably would call that as Lopez bumping Wade. I think all this Wade-complaining nonsense obscures the fact that Wade actually makes the refs make the call. I think if Wade gets more questionable calls than anyone else in the league, it's just because he's good at putting himself in situations where he's either fouled, or looks like he got fouled. Can't blame a guy for knowing how to work the refs - Reggie Miller did the same thing.
that bad call had a huge effect on the outcome of the game imo. No reason to hate on Wade for it though.
ummmm....the law says if you are 3 or 4 feet near Wade its automatic foul. and if your 1-2 feet near Wade its automatic ejection.
If Wade had put the ball back on the floor after that spin move it should have been a traveling call. Although he makes that move so quickly I doubt if the refs would have called it.
that was a very bad call from the officials. especially, bad timing, when we've been trailing by a couple. but nobody can deny Wade is freaking spectacular. If primadonna Lebron doesn't sign with us, we should throw all possible and impossible money at Wade.
So? The NBA refs have set that precedent long before the Bird or Jordan era. When the game is close in the 4th they are especially going to give a superstar the benefit of the doubt over a rookie. Is it unfair? Sure. But it's something every team goes through.
I agree about the superstar calls, but c'mon - Lopez slammed into him hard with what looks like a hockey move.
I don't know if you're serious or not, but this is completely different. The Nets actually had a legitimate chance to win this. The refs aren't the reason for all those turnovers, missed shots, and that trapping plan on Wade.
I don't know how a knicksfan dwells on Nets that severely. Anyway, A bad call in a crunch time could make the game totally different. Just discussing to the fact, don't change the topic no matter this call could make the Nets win or not, it is a bad call, and it is what it is.
I hate Net's home court, they get no advantage. Usually, they let home team dictate how much contact is allowed. Not for the Nets though.
are you seriously asking where the contact was? there definitely was contact on the play and it's pretty clear. it shouldn't have been a foul as it is also clear that wade fell on his own, but still.
