He had a great week. Undefeated with over 5 steals a game, leading his team in scoring and getting 10 assists a game, too.

Brandon was very good, but Paul deserved it.

Crawford had a 50 point game, too. Roy's week was pretty good but it wasn't THAT great.

I wonder how often a player gets 8 steals in an NBA game compared to how often a player gets 50 points in an NBA game...

8 steals is less common than 50 points, but I know that 8 steals has happened at least one other time this year (Mario Chalmers got like 9 earlier this season already).

I don't know, Roy had some pretty good numbers. Paul's numbers were pretty average for Paul, in my opinion.

But it's not just about rarity, it's about value. A cycle may be more historically uncommon than a 2 double/2 homer day, but the second is the better game.

Scoring 52 points seems a lot more valuable, to me, than racking up 8 steals. And it wasn't just the 52 point game (regarding your comparison to Crawford), he also had multiple 30+ scoring games.

That said, I don't think Roy was robbed or anything. I could see either Roy or Paul winning the award. Just a shame that Paul also had a magnificent week the same week.

meh, good for cp i guess, until he can do these type of performances against us, I'll continue to take his performances with a grain of salt.

Roy only played in two games, remember. He scored 29 against the Kings and then 52 against the Suns. I'm NOT complaining about his 40.5 ppg average, of course, but his other numbers (3.5 rpg, 5.5 pg, 2 spg, 1 bpg) are all rather pedestrian.

If there were a "player of the last two weeks" I think that Roy CLEARLY deserves it, given he had three straight 30 point efforts the week before...

Let's hope Roy can win Player of the Month, then. That way, it wouldn't feel like his 52 point game was overlooked.

Ah, good point. I had not remembered that. I was thinking about his last 3-4 games. Oops.

Totally. If the Blazers can finish strongly, even if he just puts up average numbers for him, I bet he's got a great chance at winning PotM.
