Yi is really disappointing. He can't guard an average PF to safe his life. I certainly hope Kiki can make some adjustments to him in practice, be it pumping the guy up and adding some passion to his game or just teach him how to play defence.
I ask you this? Is Harris any better than Marcus Williams other than his ability to get to the paint? Neither play a lick of defense, and that says a lot, considering Harris had the label of a defense stopper before he got traded here.
I totally forgot this game was going on tonight. Looks like Vince and Harris are having much better nights
Carter and Harris had a good half and the Nets still down one? Hmm.. Not a good sign. Play some damn defense.
i must admit teams are playing Harris a bit differently lately and its cooling him down. Or is he just in some kind of mini slump. And, i agree the past few games his defense is a bit suspect.
Brook needs to come with a better 2nd half. Hibbert is slow like Ming. They need to put him in high pick and rolls with Harris and Brook.
Anderson is mentally stronger than Yi. And he seems like part of the offence and defence when he's on the court. Yi just seems invisible half the time; really starting to piss me off.
I was probably ignorant. But I think Harris probably spend more energy on offense this season, could be the reason he's slacking some on D.
I remember hearing how DH was a stopper, probably because he gets alot of steals and such. But he's no lock down defender either. And he appears to have trouble against the small speedy guards like Aaron brooks.
On the bright side of things the nets defense held a team to under 60 points for the first time in a few games.
One big thing i have noticed between Yi and anderson tonight is on offense. Both play the same position and have the same roles. But when Yi parks at the 3 he waits and waits till the shot is in the air before he does anything. I don't see him crashing the boards or getting inside at all. Now Anderson knows when he's not getting a shot and always manages to get in the paint to at least fight for the rebound. Also has a knack for finding the loose balls. Also tonight at least he's more involved in the fast breaks... Plus he's getting to the line a lot more as well.
That's because Anderson knows where to go for rebounds to ensure a greater success of rebounding and possibly getting an easy foul for 2 free throws. Yi just doesn't know where to go, offensively and defensively.
