If you feel good about what you saw last night, you must have missed the first 2 hours of the game. After reading the game thread, its clear some in here are finally getting it. This team needs a trade BADLY! Outlaw and Frye need to leave no matter what. Its painful how bad outlaw is on defense. If Melo played...we get killed. Its that simple. We have no muscle except joel. I mean its amazing we dont have 1 real banger on this team. To think we are beating a healthy denver team is wishful thinking.

SF... lets look at it. Batum is a joke as a starter. He just looks bette rtehn outlaw caus ehe plays defense to a degree. Prob is he cant score to save his life. Hes lost on the offensive side. Shot is flat..etc! Then outlaw who is contending right now for the worst defensive player in the league. yah, its that bad. Theres a reason klaiza, lewis, barnes, and others have career type games against us. OUTLAW.

Backup PF... this is getting old. Saying we have a problem at backup PF is like sayingthe us has a small economy problem.

Oden.... just gets worse every game. I serioulsy think he cries at some point this year. They guy looks like he killed a small child. He is so bad on both ends, its shameful for a number 1 pick. Sometimes i have to tell myself HA isn't on the team.

PG... lol least of our problems. Thats how bad the other 3 are.

Guys im not trying to be an a$$...but i think you all know im right on the money. We have issues and need a trade. Im not buying this cake baking crap from KP. WHAT IS THERE THAT HE CANT SEE?? Outlaw, Frye, Ike, are not even close to playoff players. This team if stays as is, NO WAY IS A LOCK FOR POST SEASON PLAY! WAY TOO MANY JUMP SHOOTERS.

I was under the impression that Oden was doing pretty well this season. Granted, people expected more out of him before the season, but 8/8 in 23 minutes isn't too bad.

But I wouldn't know, I only catch the Blazers a few times per year.

He's just inconsistent. Basically he looks like a 20 year old big man that went through MF surgery, sat out for 18 months and has played 22 NBA games. But according to the OP he makes Olowokandi look like Olojuwan.

Wow, the Kandiman thing is a little extreme.

Are you still as excited about his future as you were a year ago?

I don't think anyone was pleased with the way we played last night. Sergio frustrated me at times, same with Roy and a few others.

I don't agree with your point about Batum being a joke as a starter, because he isn't really a starter. He starts the game, but plays less than 17 minutes. It's become "cool" around the league to bring your best swingman off the bench. Batum is a starter in title only.

Last night was a big win and you can't say we would've lost with Melo. You don't know that. We have the same damn record as Denver (18-11 is our best start in 6 years) and we've played a tougher schedule. And we've done it without our starting SF (thus we're having to play a 19 year old rookie and we're still winning. Impressive. And we've done it with often very little contribution from Oden. Not every win is going to be a perfectly played 42 point blowout. We're playing just fine, mixum. 20 teams would love to have our record. Calm down.

    Well said, Kingspeed.

And honestly, about Melo, sometimes I think Denver may be better w/o him. But Melo is slowly changing his game to do more than just scoring.

Billups is a freakin' beast though. I love that guy.

And LOL at this thread. We didn't play our best, but we will won by like 10 points vs a top team IN THE NBA. If anything, we can say that winning without playing close to our best bball is a good sign. This team can be amazing.

When our bench plays well, our team is good. We didn't need a big game from Roy to beat a good Denver team because our bench did what it was suppost to do, and that started with Sergio and Rudy, who were wonderful.

    Exaggerate much?

Kleiza scored 17 and 20 against us. Those are both less than half his career high of 41. With Carmelo out, he's getting more minutes and more touches. So, naturally he's scoring more.

In two games against the Blazers this season, Rashard Lewis scored 6 and 27. His career high is 50. He's scored 27 or more points over 80 times in his career. So, if you're going to bash our small forwards for letting him have a "career night", shouldn't you also give them credit for holding him to 6 points (13.4 points below his season average) on 3-11 shooting?

In three games against the Blazers this season, Matt Barnes has scored 21, 9 and 22 points. His career high is 36.

Could we use an upgrade at the starting SF spot? Yes. But you have to remember that Martell Webster would be starting if not for his injury. None of the guys you mentioned lit us up last year when Martell was starting.

And, in spite of your ridiculous claims to the contrary, none of them have come close to having career nights against us this season. Such overstatements makes you look like a fool and make it difficult to take anything you say seriously.

Absolutely. Greg's biggest problems right now seem to be confidence and rhythm. He's getting whistled for a lot of touch fouls, but he's earning those fouls because he has trouble keeping his arms straight up when he's defending the post. The most encouraging thing I've seen lately is that his jump hook is finally starting to look smooth and comfortable and his explosiveness is starting to return. The big thing is that he just needs to go through this season and take his lumps and try to learn all of the little veteran tricks of the position on defense -- luckily he gets to study Joel Przybilla, one of the best defensive centers in the league.

We do NOT need a trade! We're 18-11 and tied for our division lead. And we've played more road games than Denver or Utah.

Not really. Until Webster comes back healthy (fingers crossed) we won't really know what we've got at the small forward. I like what Batum has brought to the table so far. Who'd have thought that a rookie from France would actually be getting minutes and making some worthy contributions this season? I don't consider Travis a true SF, he's much better suited at the backup PF position.

I'm fairly confident in saying Melo would have gotten to the FT line at least 10-15 at least against our crap defense last night.

The Nuggets at full strength are still a superior team to the Blazers. I wouldn't have said that at the start of the season, but they made a great trade that positions them well for winning the division.

Mixum time to hang up your blazer hat and call it good, the team stresses you out too much and its time for you to find a stress free team like the celtics for you to root for cus we dont want you to get hurt popping a blood vessel screaming about the youngest 18 -11 in league history.
