Or did the blazers make him look like the next peja? HE KILLED US 2 NIGHTS IN A ROW. Or was that outlaw screwing up? not sure..prob a lil of both!
Kleiza, Matt Barnes, John Salmons and Rashard Lewis are just a few of the SFs that have gone crazy from 3-point land on us this month. It's like none of the SFs read scouting reports or know that these guys like to shoot wide open 3's. The sad thing is that we've played all thse guys multiple times and don't seem to learn from our mistakes (leaving Barnes open in particular).
its not even funny how bad our SFs are. its really scary. Batum is starting to look lost and has no offensive game at all. Outlaw is so bad on defense im sure opponents game plan to attack him. its that bad. our backup PFs prob wouldnt backup on the thunder
Batum is 19, Outlaw is a great scorer, Martell is injured, Frye would start for the thunder. Kleiza is good.
so cause hes 19...he gets a pass? HE SHOULDNT BE PLAYING. Outlaw is awful. Fo every shot he makes...he misses 5 Frye would start? Only if their other PFS were seriously injured.
Better check your math there bub. 1/6 = 0.167 While Travis isn't shooting the ball great this year, 0.420 >> 0.167 BNM
yes batum gets a pass, its not his fault that he is playing, and i guess you cannot appreciate what he does bring. Bruce bowen was near last in the league in PER every year, but was still a very valued player on a championship team outlaw is shooting .435 from outside and is second on the blazers in 3pt fg%....behind frye. frye would instantly be the thunders best player over 6'10". unless you think johan petro is better.
For the season: Linas Kliza: 3FG% = 0.376 (38/101) Travis Outlaw: 3FG% = 0.435 (37/85) So, the answer to your question is yes. Kleiza has missed from 3-point range 63 times so far this season. BNM
It's true, Linas Kleiza has never missed a three point shot in his career. I know, amazing stuff huh?
he could be the number one... 3 point shooter in the nba and hes still a deer in headlights and awful
The problem we have with defending the 3P is directly related to the defensive play of our guards. Their man penetrates at will to the paint, our wings need to collapse to help our bigs and it leaves the 3P shooters open. Happens again and again. We can rail against the our SF until the cows come home - but it is not going to change that the crux of the problem is the fact that our wings need to collapse into the paint for help defense so much and it is hard for them to recover to put a hand in the 3P shooter's face.
10 ppg doesn't earn you that tag in my book. Outlaw needs to score 20ppg at least to make up for his defensive lapses. It's not just covering 3-point shooters either, he never boxes defenders out which gives a lot of 2nd chance opportunities to the opponents. He's a nice guy, but just not a heady basketball player.
heres a gurantee...if we or anyone ever wins a title with outlaw on their roster...i will never post anything negative again!
They already won a title last year - the title of "Youngest NBA team that did not post a losing record".
that seems kinda silly, is all of your negativity based soley on outlaw? or do you just choose to post negatively?
its Mixum he is negetive all the time it dont matter the focus its been his MO for about 4 years now....... we need webster back asap!
Wasn't he drafted by Portland and traded to Denver? Or the pick was traded to Denver? Unsure. Anyhow, it might provide some motivation for him against the Blazers.
