    No disrespect to the other deserving candidates, but we need to get GSP some much needed pub here in Canada and this would be a nice feather in his cap!

    GSP is currently in the running for Canadian Athlete of the Year in Sportsnet's annual poll. The other four candidates include Calgary Flames captain and NHL First Team All-Star Jerome Iginla, former MLB American League MVP and Home Run Derby Champion Justin Morneau, ATP doubles Grand Slam champion Daniel Nestor, and Chantal Petitclerc, a paralympian who won five gold medals in Bejing.
