http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/columns/story?columnist=bucher_ric&page=warriorsbucher-081223 Seems like several players are unhappy and wouldn't mind being traded. Jackson Maggette Belinelli The guy I would really want to try and pry away from them is Anthony Randolph. The guy has some nice potential. They can have their pick back for him.
I second trying to get Randolph. I've heard that Nelson told him to find a trade (or something to that effect), so maybe we could pull something off if we package the pick with Ager + Sean or Boone. Perhaps reuniting Boone with Marcus is exactly what Marcus DaCarcus needs to become focused. Probably not. But I wouldn't want Captain Jack or Maggette on the Nets. I would like to take a look at Belinelli. Whatever happened to the rumored Belinelli for Sean trade?
Not one of those guys plays any defense. Same with Marcus Williams. Nets are unlikely to want any of them. This is bad news for the Nets. If the Warriors make the playoffs in 2011, the Nets get their pick, but if their pick is in the lottery in 2011, is #1 through #11 in 2012, or is #1 through #10 in 2013, the Warriors keep it. If by 2013, the Warriors are still down and out--and they might be--the Nets have to settle for second rounders in 2013 and 2015. That pick might have had some trade value before the season. Now it has none. How far into the future are those picks? The player who would be taken by the Nets in 2015 is in eighth grade right now. So scout those halftime kids' games at the IZOD for future second round picks in 2015. Ya never know.
Well, think of it this way: in '97 the Grizzlies traded a 1st round pick to the Pistons for Otis Thorpe. And in 2003 that pick turned out to be the second pick of that draft. Where guys like Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh were available. 2015 may seem like a long time, but hey you just never know...
I want nothing to do with Magette or Jackson because of their contracts. If some of their younger guys are available...might be interested
I'd love Captain Jack on the Nets. He would make life easier for our entire squad with his play making abilities from the 3 spot. Yeah his contract kinda sucks but If we can get him on the cheap i'm all for it. Jack is really the only guy i'm interested in from the Warriors outside of Biedrins who's damn near untouchable.
yeah but in 2015 we wouldnt be drafting in the first rd with their pick.... i hope they make playoffs next year thus making 3 first rd picks in 2010....
