He is just another body to throw around in LA. Not a bad signing, but it couldn't be worth more than 2 million a year.

I don't think he will play most of the time. Not very significant or interesting. Just someone to throw in in the end of the game or someone else to play if one of their bigs gets hurt.

I heard he was signed for playoff backup, since Wilcox is gone, they need a PF/C and he is the only one that they're interested in.

I guess Walter McCarthy doesn't fill that role.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Why does he even have his own thread?</div>Slow news day, only significant player movement.

I guess Campbell or Laettner had no interest in playing again. I'm sure either one would be a better pickup than Baker. Well who knows, he could be in shape and sober.

Its not easy to get over alcoholism. Its not like studying for a test or something. They are addicted to it and its like a means of life to them. If you had it, you would know.

I'm sorry for Vin that he has a drinking problem but a whole city of basketball fans were affected from his signing. I believe in giving a guy a 2nd chance, he had multiple oppurtunities as well to clean up his act and he still didn't do it. He ended up having to get heart surgery. So VintagNYK and Ballaholic don'[t hand me the sympathy act, Vin had his chance to make it up to Boston and he completely screwed us over. We're still paying his <Censored> money.

He actually came out to play for Dunleavy, who he had his best season with. I hear they worked him out a lot, and felt he was good enough to sign for the min. If he doesn't work out, they won't lose much.

Im glad hes being given an oppurtunity to prove himself again and hopefully he can overcome this..
