Last post until McMillan fired or Blazers win championship

I need to quit spending so much time on the internet, and tonight proved this even more. The team won, good for them. I want them to win every game, who doesn't?

However, I am seriously having trouble dealing with some of the morons who post here. It is getting to the point that I would rather just catch a plane and fly to Portland and beat the crap out of some of you. I posted my home phone number on this website in a fit of anger, you can ask KingSpeed as he called me. The person I posted that number for is the one who I would like to punch some sense into tonight. I seriously think I could ask the guy what color grass typically is and he would say something like.....blue.

I think I take too much of this seriously, most of it has to do with game 7 of the 2000 WCF and I am just setting myself up for disappointment right now. This team is going to be like this, I know that they are young.

I have been gaining weight from this team, I swear to God. I stay up late and eat because I get mad that they lost, or I stay up late posting because they won. If I spent the time I spend here in the gym, I would be better off.

I am sure some people have responded to some of my sarcastic remarks in the time I have written this but I don't care. I won't retaliate. I won't post again until they win it all, or McMoron goes. I just realized recently that every day of McMillan is a wasted day of what could have been progress to the long term goal.

Well, you do have your hometown listed on your "Location." Maybe he can just beat the crap out of everybody that answers there door right there off of I-5. It may take a while, but I think with his grit and determination (proven by the "fire McMillan" or "Finals" post) he'll find you.

I know you think its other people overreacting or giving fucked up opinions and you are probably right, but there is no need for just a few, or one, poster(s) do drive you away from enjoying a sports forum. Im not even saying you are right or wrong in your opinions since keeping tabs on everyones mood is hard but dont let others affect you this much in enjoying bball.

taking some time out isnt the worst thing in the world - god knows over the years ive wished you could bash someone via tcp/ip but shit, at the end of the day its ONLY the internet and you only take it as seriously as you want too.

By the looks of it you are taking it too seriously.

the best advice for you is to take a deep breath and use the ignore function on the posters who you find antagonize you and just post away. fuck the haters. some people post opposite views just for the fuck of it and to have any form of juxtaposition so they can argue a point, often any point - just for the sake of it. I've already ignored a few people on here and ive never said a word to them but their attitudes and opinions were nothing i was interested in so the disappear. easy.

saying you're not coming back is pointless too. at the end of the day, screw jobs, nutcases, dreamers, cynics, skeptics, and everyone in-between make up the best Blazers fanbase i've ever found - weed out the extremes and post in the middle if you need too

 

I don't think you will be able to stay away (likely change your screen name) but I think you should. Not because I don't like reading your posts or anything, but cause you nailed it on the head, if you really get that upset, it's not worth it. This is a game. A game. And posting isn't even the game, its just musings by a bunch of faceless people who share one singular interest with you. It just isn't worth it.

I follow the Blazers and post here cause i enjoy it. If the Blazers lose, I get bummed for 5 minutes and then shake it off. If someone posts dribble, I could care less. Good luck, go work out, and try and keep your promise to yourself to stay away.

 

It's just a game. No use getting upset about it. People on forums can be asses, that much is a known fact. Live a positive life. If this site (or the team) is causing you any kind of negative stress, you need to chill out.
