http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/dailydime?page=dime-081227-28 I say get rid of him AND Vlad Rad for a Jason Kapono-type knock down shooter. If we can get rid of Mihm for Lue, AND Vlad Rad w/ Luke Walton, then
I just cant fathom how they could pull off getting rid of Luke with how much money he is owed. Maybe some under the cap team will take him for draft picks? I dunno
I wonder if the Lakers could somehow get Kyle Korver from Utah in a trade for Luke. Not sure if Utah will give up Korver, however.
IMO, not a chance in hell. Why on earth would they want to get rid of their biggest 3pt threat for nothing? They have an chance to make some noise in the playoffs so why would they handicap their team? On top of that if they want to keep Boozer this offseason they need some cash which Luke is the opposite of. If the Lakers are able to trade him, which I seriously doubt, it would be for financial reasons. There is no way we get something more productive than Luke for this year. At best you would get some crappy 2nd round picks and maybe some no name rookie/2nd year player. Lakers would just want to do this to free up money to sign others (Ariza) this offseason
It's kinda weird that Luke saw no playing time what so ever until Phil suddenly made him our starting SF. So I was wondering, maybe it was just to increase Luke's trade value. But I doubt.
I think we could trade Luke Walton to Chicago or Miami. Not sure where I read it, but I remember reading this past summer that the Heat and Bulls liked Luke Walton. Don't know why, but they apparently do....
Welcome to the board dude. You'll like it here. If you've got any questions, feel free to ask me or any other member of the staff.
So was your curiosity sparked by my invitation to all on the fantasy basketball league Chris set up?...i dont know if you are in that league or not ....or did you just hear about it with everyone bitching at bbf?
^ I noticed the Blazers board at BBF was real dead, did some searches to find out why, and just stumbled upon an S2 reference there. I don't really have too many problems with their mods, who mean well, it's just misguided upper management. So far, this place seems active, solid, and less controlling. Those are great qualities that have to be striven for considering this medium (i.e. Internet) was founded on these exact principles 26 years ago. No sense in abandoning it now. *preaching over*
Pretty much nailed it...there were some dickish moves by posters but some of the upper level people went over the top with their decisions. Still check it out here and there since Basel posts pretty much EVERYTHING Lakers related (hint hint mods ). Dont get me wrong, this place is sweet and always has the major stuff up for discussion. Once again, good to see you
